Dining at this restaurant in Lisbon was more than just a meal—it was an unforgettable journey into the heart of Portuguese culture. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I was being welcomed into a family home, not just a restaurant. The warmth of the staff and the genuine hospitality made me feel like I was among old friends, even though it was my first visit. The fado show was nothing short of magical. It wasn't just a performance; it was a deeply emotional experience that brought the soul of Lisbon to life. The singers and musicians poured their hearts into every note, creating an atmosphere that was both intimate and powerful. The way the evening was structured allowed for a perfect blend of dining and entertainment, making it feel natural and unhurried. Between the soulful music and the engaging stories shared by the hosts, I felt like I truly began to understand and love Lisbon in a way I hadn't before. And then there was the food—exceptional in every sense. Each dish was a celebration of traditional Portuguese flavors, prepared with a modern touch that made every bite a delight. From the starters to the dessert, everything was cooked to perfection, reflecting the pride and passion of the kitchen. But what really sets this place apart is how the whole experience comes together. It’s not just about the food or the show, but about how they’re woven into a seamless experience that leaves you feeling enriched, entertained, and deeply connected to the culture. This restaurant didn't just serve me a meal—they offered me a slice of Lisbon's soul, and I’ll forever be grateful for that. If you want to truly understand and fall in love with Lisbon, this is the place to do it.

Lisbon cannot exist without fado! If you are looking for such an experience, one of the best choices is O Corrido, in the Alfama district, next to the Panteão Nacional. Booking in advance is highly recommended! The building is nothing special from the outside, but once you enter you will find a pleasant restaurant. The menu served during fado night includes a couvert, an appetizer, a main course and a dessert. We had a Tábua de queijos/enchidos (fried sausage and cheese dish), a Perna de pato confitada com puré de batata doce e couve, em molho de vinho do porto e laranja (duck leg with port, orange sauce, sweet potatoes and kale), a Bochechas de porco em vinho tinto, com esmagada de batata, cogumelos salteados e emulsão de coentros (red wine pork with mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, coriander emulsion), finally a Mousse de chocolate com toffee salgado (chocolate mousse with salted caramel) and a Pera Bêbeda (pears stewed in alcohol), all dishes were delicious. The service was friendly, quick and polite, and the value for money was impeccable. The best experience was the fado show! Wonderful performers, full of emotions, excellent voice, and in addition they created a very good atmosphere, involving the audience in the evening. The whole evening was crowned by the kindness, professionalism and talent of the 2 owners Claudia and Filipe, as Claudia played the fado guitar and Filipe the portuguese guitar. Eternal gratitude for the experience, hope to hear them again!

Last time I visited Lisbon I was told that the best fado performances must be reserved weeks in advance. O Corrido truly deserves every one of its 5-star reviews. The owners are so hospitable and passionate about what they do. They took time to chat with each table and answer questions about fado music. The ambiance was so cozy and I felt like I was visiting their home rather than an overly-commercialized tourist trap. The music was a perfect mix between upbeat and melancholic, and the musicians were a variety of ages and all extremely talented. The emotions they express in their music cannot be taught, they are a natural talent. Plan on staying until the last set at about 11PM, it was the best one! The food itself was amazing and could hold its own, not at all in a “we’ll tolerate the food because the music is good” sort of way. Each course was timed nicely between the 20-minute fado sets, and there was the perfect amount of time to eat and chat. Be sure to reserve well in advance and be sure to confirm all of the follow-up messages. There are not many seats and about half of them were reserved by a tour group. I wouldn’t count on being able to walk-in. It is also cash-only. If I had any friends or family of my own visiting Lisbon, this is the first place I would recommend to them.

This place cannot be recommended enough. It was an absolute joy to experience a night of great food and beautiful music here. They offer a fixed price tasting menu with a handful of choices for a starter, main (fish, meat, vegetarian), and dessert and everything we ordered was fantastic. The fado music was beautiful and you could tell how much the artists feel the music and lyrics they sing. The owner come around the tables in between sets for the singers to discuss fado with the guests and talk about their craft. They bring in multiple singers for the night and so you can really get a great range of voices and styles of song based on what the artist is feeling in that moment. The improvised guitar playing also harmonized wonderfully with each song! It was far and away the best experience I had during my entire trip to Portugal. Do not miss out on a dinner and night here. If you can, plan on spending at least a few hours for dinner. The singing started 8-830pm and they would play 4 songs, and take a 30ish min break before playing again and I believe said they will play until around midnight, we left just a little before then. Thank you, O Corrido for a perfect evening!

The whole experience was out of this world. The food: We got delicious entrees - fried codfish very well prepered and octopus salad which resembled me of the sevichen fresh and yummy. Then main dish was a pork cheeks and duck. And the duck... was just the best duck I have ever had. Soft, soaked in Porto. For desserts very good pear in Porto and lemon cakey cream. So delicious! The experience: It was our first Fado. The Singers are superb. It was a little like going to another world with music, food, people. When the oldest lady started singing I swear it resembled me of Cesária Évora. The generations of people signing, playing guitar together was something magical. You got past, present and the future. The people: Owners of this place love Fado and love hosting. You can feel it. Also owner speaks in English, French and Spanish. Like Wow. We also met lovely people in there, also tourists. Everyone was so nice! Overall experience: When we came to Lisboa our host said if you will have good Fado you will have poor food. If you have good food you will have poor Fado. In here you have fantastic food and fantastic Fado. We know we will come back.

We recently visited O Corridor Fado Restaurant in Lisbon and were enchanted by the experience. From the moment we entered, we felt the warmth and authenticity of the place. The cozy ambiance, soulful Fado, and delicious cuisine made it an unforgettable evening. As newcomers to Fado, we were unsure of what to expect, but the performers quickly captivated us with their heartfelt expressions. Despite not understanding the lyrics, the emotion in the music touched our hearts, transcending language barriers. What made O Corridor special was the genuine connection between the performers and the audience. They shared insights and anecdotes between sets, making us feel like honored guests. The wine selection was exceptional and perfectly complemented the flavors of the dishes. Overall, our evening at O Corridor was magical, transporting us to another time and place. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon. It's an experience that will leave you with cherished memories. * Don't forget to reserve in advance and bring cash! *
