No idea why this place isn't more popular.
The sushi is really, really good. The staff is always nice and kind. Not the "fake smile" sort of nice, but the genuine kind of nice, especially if you're a regular.
I once got sick in the middle of dinner (unrelated to the food, it was a medical issue) and they packed all of our food and more (we had ordered the all you can eat, which isn't compatible with leftovers), over 40 pieces of sushi on top of what we'd already eaten, no extra charge. We didn't even ask, they offered. I'll always remember that.
I used to eat here about twice a month with my husband for about 2 years before I moved. I really miss this place and we still go here when we go to Lisbon.
Don't let the exterior / decor put you off, it scared me too at first but the food (the sushi, at least) is really good, made fresh whilst you're waiting. The sake is alright.
Their portuguese isn't the best, but you can...
Read moreYou did not propose me "All you can eat" at all. I am still hungry going out of your restaurant !! You made me pay for the drink but it was written free (the waiter did not make this clear at all at the order when I asked). Sushi would be okay for a all you can eat, i could have eaten the double for the same price when I see portions I had. They are too small when you pay them 19.9 eur for 22 very small pieces, not particularly good quality and 1 drink, which is quite expensive for too few food. I regret my experience here because i am hungry going out whereas I spent 20 euros.
Your server should have proposed me directly all you can eat , and let me know the drink was not free.
I would not recommend this place, mostly because sushi are really small compared to the price. Also, your rice should be better. Avocado and...

We ordered two of these, along with advising the staff of some food allergy concerns. Everyone elwas very helpful and pleasant and made sure we got what we needed.
Staff spoke English along with Portuguese. And were delightful.
Service was at a leisurely pace, not least because everything was being prepared fresh for us. Portion sizes were plenty and in the end the all you can eat defeated us - we could finish the first round, never mind going for extras.
If there's any quibble, it was that the sushi and sashimi was good but not brilliant. The rice a little dry, flavours a little too muted (eg. I love my salmon, but the salmon was very ordinary).
That said, if I'm ever back in Lisbon I could see...
