Luckily the guy (Magnu) who took my order for crepes and gelato was really nice but the manager is an outright RACIST! He CLEARLY hates Muslims! After my order I had to do my prayer so did it QUIETLY in a corner seat where no customers can really see, he came by murmuring stuff in Portugese and made those mouth/sound gestures. After I was done and waiting for my order we looked eye to eye and he motioned basically “get out” with his hand/ finger at least 2x. If I hadn’t already ordered, I would’ve left, and he definitely would have lost one sale for the day. I decided to sit outside and eat while enjoying people watching. The location is convenient, as it is just on the major promenade. They feature a decent range of sweets. However, be cautious when placing meal orders. I ordered a large skewer of mixed chicken, pork, and vegetables. I could only eat the vegetables and pork because the chicken had rotted and smelled strongly. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in Lisbon. Total scam. We ordered coffees and cake and the total should have been around €16. Instead, they charged us €22.80 with a mysterious “table service fee.” And no receipt. When I went inside to ask, the staff behind the counter told me this fee was not mandatory and usually around 10–15%.
