Our evening at "Lisboa em Fado" was nothing short of extraordinary—a captivating performance that left us utterly spellbound. From the moment the first note filled the room, we knew we were in for something special, and the night only grew more enchanting from there.

The performance was led by an elegant lady with a voice that can only be described as mesmerizing. Her vocal delivery was both powerful and deeply emotional, transporting us into the very soul of Lisbon's fado tradition. Every note she sang resonated with authenticity and passion, capturing the essence of this iconic Portuguese music.

Complementing her was a gentleman whose unique voice added a rich layer of depth to the performance. His sense of humor brought a delightful balance to the evening, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere that made the experience feel intimate and personal. His ability to connect with the audience, both through his singing and his charming wit, made the night unforgettable.

The two musicians who accompanied the singers were nothing short of virtuosos. Their mastery of their instruments was evident in every piece they played, skillfully weaving intricate melodies that enhanced the emotional power of the fado songs. The synergy between the singers and musicians was palpable, and together, they created a magical atmosphere that enveloped the entire room.

"Lisboa em Fado" is an experience we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon. It’s more than just a performance; it’s a journey into the heart of Portuguese culture, delivered by artists who are not only talented but also deeply passionate about their craft. This show made our night truly special, and it’s an experience we will cherish for a long...

My wife and I are visiting Portugal from the United States and really wanted to see a Fado performance. Many of them are quite expensive or require you to buy dinner or drinks, and usually took place later in the evening. When we discovered Lisboa em Fado, which was only a couple of blocks from where we were staying, we decided to investigate. We found that they had performances every night at 6 PM (18:00), which was perfect for us, since we are not late nighters. They do not sell food or drinks, and the performance hall is quite small, but this was exactly what we were looking for. They currently require cash payment, so be prepared for that. They do take online reservations, which I would recommend due to the small venue size.

We really didn't know what to expect from the music, and had no idea if the musicians would be very good, or the performance entertaining for us. But I have to say we were blown away! They were outstanding musicians and singers, the acoustics were great, and we were treated very well. We understand little Portuguese, but the performance was so emotional and entertaining that we felt like we discovered a very important part of Portuguese culture that we would have totally missed had we not seen the show.

All in all, it was a 5+ experience, and I would highly recommend Lisboa em Fado to anyone who enjoys music and...

Horrible place. I invited a 50 yr old Italian girlfriend of mine as she loves Fado to go. When we got there a non Portuguese waiter from either India or Pakistan perhaps I don’t know but couldn’t speak Portuguese told me we had sitting on opposite sides of the room. I highlighted my ticket was for two seats, and not two tickets and asked him to show me where in the booking stage it mentions the seats are first come first served. As the show was starting he indicated me we should go speak outside and I followed him. My friend not understanding what was happening followed me but I told her by to wait inside and start enjoying the show, moment which the waiter came from behind me and violently grabbed my friend from her armpit hurting her and literally threw her outside. She screamed in pain, I tried to grab her from falling into the street and the guy passed us and went inside closing the door on our faces and locking himself inside without even having said a word. We called the police and tried to obtain the complaint book which took more than an hour to get also as then one of the performers tried to convince us not to write in the book but the police made sure our rights...

The show was great and of high quality. 1 Portuguese Guitar, 1 Acoustic Guitar and 2 singers (a lady and a man) were performing. Took around one hour. Paid 19 € per person. A glass of Porto Wine were included, which you were offered at the beginning of the show. The room had a good acoustic and had an intimate vibe as you’d sit near to performers. No mics and sound system were there but you could enjoy the show without it. They played an introduction video about Fado music as well, which is helpful to know a bit more about its history. What could be improved is the fact that they pause the show to play various parts of the video here and there. It would be more engaging and respectful to musicians if they are not interrupted with the video. E.g. you can play the video completely at the beginning and then let musicians perform until the end.
