Do NOT go here!!! Drawn in by the good reviews, my friends and I were really looking forward to an evening at this restaurant. The price seemed fair and many reviews mentioned you would get a decent amount of seafood for what you pay. This was absolutely not our experience. The food tasted as if an 8-year-old had thrown some seafood into a pot with water, a bit of tomato and a lot of rice, and just boiled it. No seasoning, no unique flavor, nothing at all. An absolute disappointment. After the third or fourth bite we looked at each other and had to laugh because it was so absurdly bad.
The service was friendly and attentive, so no complaints about the staff. But to serve three people one pot containing only 3 shrimp and a crab leg each is outrageous for the price. We were asked if we wanted one large pot instead of individual ones—maybe that was also our mistake.
The Pastel de Bacalhau as a starter was fine, nothing special but not bad either. The main dish, however, was beyond disappointing, and the paella was the worst we have ever had. I honestly don’t understand how a restaurant can serve something like this.

If you're searching for the best seafood rice in Lisbon, look no further than Uma Marisqueira II. Tucked just a few steps from the famous Uma Marisqueira, this place blew us away with its incredible flavor, cozy vibe, and fast, friendly service.
We ordered their signature seafood rice – and WOW. It was rich, perfectly seasoned, and packed with fresh seafood like prawns, crab, and clams. You can tell they use their own special recipe – totally unique and unforgettable. It took around 30-40 minutes to arrive, but it was totally worth the wait – freshly cooked and served piping hot in a traditional pot.
What makes Uma II special is the attention to quality and the calm atmosphere. It’s slightly less crowded than the original UMA, which makes it a perfect spot for couples, friends, and families looking to enjoy an authentic Portuguese seafood experience without the rush.
Highly recommend booking in advance or coming early – this place is quickly becoming a top-rated restaurant in Lisbon. Can’t wait to come back!
