Some of the best pizza 🍕 you can eat in Lisbon!

Pizzeria Romana, in downtown Lisbon, came highly recommended by a dear Italian friend and I can say its reputation is very well deserved.

It was equally important that would be the case too, since it was the place I chose to take my significant sweetheart to a date (she's a huge lover of Italian food!)

Our menu consisted of the following: 🔸 1x Supplí Cacio e Pepe 🔸 1x Crostino 🔸 1x Funghi Bianca

To start, the space is very charming and cozy, with a great atmosphere. The table I chose (against a wall) however, wasn't the most comfortable; felt a bit cramped, even. But it wasn't horrible by any means.

The server/waiter was very nice to me and my beloved. We were treated very well and were given suggestions when we seemed overwhelmed by options, proving to be a welcome and proactive attitude.

After ordering and a bit of chit-chat, the Supplí Cacio e Pepe showed up and, despite pictures showing it to be a little bit too fried, the taste was IMPECCABLE and utterly delicious. I never had this delicacy ever before, and became a fan.

But the best was yet to come. 👀

When both pizzas showed up not only did they 'wow' us by their size, but by the apparent freshness of the ingredients. Not only that, as the toppings proved to be delicious, but the crust was the best experience I had in a pizza slice. The dough was crusty, crunchy and delicious. I don't know how else to describe it besides recommending it!

However, gauge very well how hungry you really are since 1 pizza, together with starters, is more than enough to abolish your hunger. Promise! 🙏🏻✨

Suffice to say, me and my significant other will surely return sometime soon 💖 it's just...

It would be a shame if I didn't write a review for this place. Let me start by saying I love pizza, I've eaten it many many times and I know there are good and bad apples so I cannot stress enough how delicious was this pizza! I wasn’t here once, I wasn't here twice but three times in a span of 5 days in Lisbon. On day 3, I was feeling almost bad for the waiters because probably I gave them deja vu:)

First time I dined outside by the three tables they have. We were lucky to even get it because this place is always full with tables booked way in advance. The other two times there were no tables but we took a takeaway. Pizza is very delicious, thin, not oily, and has a great crust. All in all the experience was very good with fast service, very friendly and polite staff. I couldn’t ask more from them.

After viewing some 1star comments It's such entertainment for me to read them. Some people have themselves for such good food critics knowing all about Italian culture and dishes. When they were once in Napoli and once in Rome and now they know everything about how a pizza should be made :,D … or you get some that think are entitled to free stuff after waiter told them pizza seems fine but in their eyes, it was not because only they know what's right…or that was “inconvenient” that waiter didn't speak fluent English. I know that the waiter didn’t speak the best English but we didn't talk about rocket science, we talked about ordering pizza and some drinks. He was very polite, funny and did his best for which I commend him!

Un caro saluto...

**Hello,

Thank you for your comment.

I would like to clarify that my review was based on an unfortunate experience at your restaurant. When I attempted to show the server my large order on my phone—since I was purchasing several items and wanted to ensure I didn’t forget anything—the server responded unkindly and bizarrely asked me to keep a distance. This treatment was distressing and unwarranted.

I understand that my feedback might have been misunderstood, as suggested by your comment "Who Pays?" or "Who Cares?!" Please know that my intention was to provide constructive feedback to help improve the service.

I was really deeply affected by this behavior (As a cultured individual and [ a surgeon] ) , never had before this experience. !!

My one-star rating was solely due to the service I experienced, not a reflection of the quality of your food. I believe your restaurant serves very delicious pizza, and I had genuinely hoped to try it with my family.

Please accept my feedback without any hard feelings. I hold no ill will towards you and wish you success in enhancing your service for all...

This pizza place is beautifully decorated and is open concept. This pizza place offers free wifi which is great to post pics on social media and even give a review here like I'm doing. You scan the menu over the QR code. The menu is digital and the prices are reasonable. The restrooms are located at the back and are clean. This place is high-end with their smeg fridge. The staff is friendly and useful. The staff lifts the table as soon as everyone is done eating which is great. After you can order a coffee or whatever you want but it's great how quickly they clear the table. I highly recommend this place to people who love thin crushed pizza 🍕 and sweet pizza since they have a variety of options to choose from on the menu. They also have a wide variety of red wines to choose from. My family was upset at one employee since she overcharged my dad for an espresso with milk but after talking my dad was refunded.
