This was quite the find for us today! Love this place! Handwritten menu, the owner patiently helped us understand what items were. We started with bread and olives, then enjoyed a freshly prepared dish of grilled squid, there were 8 full medium size squid and they were delicious! Plus potatoes. This came with a nice simple salad. Next we had the “arroz de bacalhau” (big chunks of fresh (not salted) divine cod fish cooked with rice in a delicious slightly tomato-ish broth which was simple and fantastic. And one beer, and two full mid-sized carafes of red wine. Then great rice pudding for dessert, and complimentary shots of tasty liqueur. All for a grand total of 24 euros, easily the best deal we’ve had so far in Portugal. The best purchase we’ve made so far in 2024. And every thing tasted so nice. My wife and I agreed, “this is why we travel!” From this pleasant lunch alone, we are even more inclined to make a 2nd trip to Portugal. If you are in Belem — walk out of that touristy area just a few more meters and...

Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to have...

Just like in Portugal, that’s how you’ll eat at this restaurant. We’ve never had calamari this good before. ❤️
I didn’t even have time to take a photo because we were so absorbed in the food 😅
Amazing! If you’re looking for authentic local cuisine,...
