Restaurante Royal Family — Restaurant in Lisbon

I recently visited Royal Family that pleasantly surprised me with its fresh and high-quality food, especially given how affordable it is. The dishes were well-prepared, flavorful, and exceeded my expectations for the price point. Also, the place was super clean and that’s always a plus!

Unfortunately, the night we went didn’t have many vegan options, which was disappointing for my friend who brought me there. He mentioned that on a previous visit, there were more vegan-friendly choices, so it might depend on the day.

The sushi is really bad. It looks old and not fresh. It doesn't taste good either. There aren't many other dishes but most of the stuff is nothing amazing. A couple of the plates weren't clean. Also the ice cream is kept in a big freezer with a lift up door. So basically all the customers can open this door and look down into the ice cream. There was a piece of hair on the ledge of the inside. Who knows what else is falling into the ice cream as the containers don't have lids. The staff on the other hand were nice and the bathroom was clean.

Royal Family restaurant is a wonderful spacious clean place where you are treated like royalty from your arrival to departure.

The staff is very welcoming, smiling and helpful. Always busy refilling the buffet or removing your used plates.

I saw that there was no more dumplings and asked if they would be making more. They said they would order a fresh batch. Within minutes the waitress arrived with a tray full of delicious dumplings.

I only tried the Chinese food which had chicken, duck, beef, shrimp and seafood, more than enough items to satisfy anyone. Every item was fresh & tasty. There is also sushi & a dessert selection.
