This restaurant is located in Lisbon’s dock area and offers an authentic Portuguese dining experience. It stands out for its simple yet traditional cuisine at reasonable prices, in contrast to some of the more commercialized, tourist-oriented restaurants nearby. One of its highlights is the outdoor seating, allowing diners to enjoy their meal while taking in beautiful river views, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
The menu features classic Portuguese dishes, such as the popular prego steak sandwich, and a variety of seafood options. There are also steak dishes, though some come with unique sauces that have a sour taste (similar to vinegar and lemon), which may not suit everyone’s palate. However, overall, the steaks and seafood here are well-received, especially as many locals frequent the restaurant—a sign of its quality and authenticity.
For those looking to escape the typical tourist traps and enjoy a more local dining experience, this restaurant is a great choice as to its fair pricing and ideal view, and, don’t over-expect...
Read moreI was doing research into what places offered the best Prego in Lisbon and this place was listed in the Top 6.
We made the trek from the Chiado area on foot and we finally found the restaurant near the base of the bridge. We fortunately beat the crowd to this restaurant as we were able to get a table for 4 right away, but that was also the last time we received any timely service from the staff. When the food finally arrived, I think the expectation, plus the level of service really set the bar in all the wrong places. The Prego was good, don’t get me wrong, but was it worth the waiting, No. Maybe the staff was overwhelmed, but it honestly felt like they could really give a sh—.
Anyways, it’s a good spot to go to if you’re in the area, but I’m not sure it’s worth...
Read moreWe went there for lunch. We wanted to try a vegetarian meal. We were served a dish with unknown ingredients. I asked the waiter to type it in Portuguese into my phone to see the English translation of food he served us but he said he only serves the food but does not know what he serves. We could not eat it as it tasted terrible and we did not know what it was. The waiters are all males and none of them smile or care about the service or customers or satisfaction with food. They all look very unhappy. They should all change professions and do something that brings out a smile on their faces. Life is too short for this misery. The only nice thing about the place is a beautiful view. Everything else could not...
