Contra Lisboa — Restaurant in Lisbon

Our experience at Contra restaurant left much to be desired. To begin with, the blond waiter displayed unfriendliness and wore a perpetual sour expression throughout our meal, which immediately set a negative tone.

Unfortunately, the disappointments didn't end there. The food at Contra was overpriced, and to make matters worse, it lacked in flavor and quality. The rice with octopus and the nasi goreng were nothing short of a culinary disappointment, resembling more of a culinary joke than a satisfying meal.

Adding insult to injury, the entire dining experience at Contra left us feeling like we had fallen into another tourist trap. It's a place that clearly prioritized making a quick buck over providing genuine hospitality and delicious cuisine. Moreover, despite hearing about the supposed view, we were greeted with a dirty dock filled with rubbish and plastic floating on the water's surface. It was far from the picturesque scene we expected.

My advice? Stay away and look elsewhere for a dining experience that truly delivers on both ambiance and...

🥩If you’re a carnivore you won’t be disappointed with the meat offering, great quality with a fair price. If you’re on a party of two don’t skip the over a kg tbone, that bone has some weight to it I’m sure you’ll be able to eat everything while crying for more.

Casual dining atmosphere, inside or outside, next to the harbor. There are lots of bars and other options in the area, and it is fun to watch the boats and people. The trains can be loud, but you can still talk if you are outside. Good number of menu options. Mac n cheese was ok but not creamy enough, and it definitely tasted like it was missing something. The burger was pretty good and fair size. The Julio salad was good size and tasted fine. None of the food was stellar, but it was ok and beautiful sitting outside watching people, and the drinks were good, especially the Pisco sour. Took a while to get the attention of the server to get our check, but the server wasxworking inside and out, and there's a good amount of space between so it's easy to lose track.
