This is not a posh, tasty restaurant. This is a Mexican bar with a low quality food and drinks.
Most of the people were drinking beer and now I know why.
The food is terrible. I've gone two times in fairness to give them a chance and none of their dishes were palatable. Smelly, cheap taste.
Cheap, ready ingredients used to make meals and expensive actually if you compare to other REAL restaurants.
Chicken in tacos looked like from the can ( a bit of tuna can look ) totally ready and a bit smelly taste. Prawns were not fresh and the tacos wet!!!! I didn't touch them due to bad smell.
Cocktails not sure if with alcohol as I felt I drink a juice with loads of ice cubes. Didn't feel any of drop of alcohol.
They advertise ( on the menu ) that they accept Card payment but at the end they asked for cash !!!! How scummy you have to be to not inform a customer about the change ( probably to avoid paying tax ). When I asked staff why do you advertise on your card menu a Card Payment but in real you ask for cash, the guy said nothing than : I know. Not even sorry !!!! Shambolic service and the staff who is smoking some other thing next to your table. I would say this is a bit dodgy place and need a control from authority.
if you like sh.....t food then go. Otherwise for this price you will eat a real Mexican fresh food somewhere else.
I won't be going there ever...
Read moreI've been to Taqueria Patron twice. The first time the food was exceptional and the second time it was just plain average.

I happened to be out with the same friend again a few weeks later and coincidentally in the exact same area and we both thought we'd give the place another try as it was great before. Maybe it was due to the late hour (after 10pm) or that they were sold out of two of the six types of tacos, but quality was just off.
For those reading, I would still recommend going but maybe earlier in the night for having all options available and maybe chefs who are...
Read moreSuper quirky, small Mexican food spot, no Tex Mex jokery, this is definitely more on the authentic side. Good assortment of sauces, also a very good homemade and real spicy one, if you ask for it. Bang for the buck is top, overall taste is great, food is fresh. We tried nachos (best in a long time), quesadillas, ceviche (it's rather a starter than a main, for 7€ this is a no brainier though, rather on the sweeter side of things with fresh mango inside, different but very good) and of course various tacos. Desertwise make sure you try their flan imposible (a firm flan on top, brownie style cake below) and their version of tres leches cake with coconut - banger! The Cuban waitress is a lot of fun - service in general is very nice and welcoming, yet...
