Taberna do Atlântico — Restaurant in Lisbon

I just visited this place and had the shrimp croquettes as a starter and Bacalhau à Brás as the main dish. The Bacalhau à Brás was absolutely delicious. The shrimp croquettes, however, were a bit less impressive than I expected, but since the main dish was so tasty, it more than made up for it.

It’s a pity I couldn’t finish everything because I was already full — I felt a little sorry to the chef for leaving food behind. The atmosphere was nice, and I think the prices were quite reasonable too.

As a Korean guest, I felt the staff seemed a little surprised since I may not be part of their usual customer base, but I really appreciated that they cared enough to check whether I might struggle without an English menu. That was thoughtful.

Still, I was a bit sad that there wasn’t a warm greeting or a “thank you” at the end, though I understand they might have been a little unsure of how to interact with me.

I visited this restaurant yesterday evening, and while the place itself looked really nice—with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere—and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, my overall experience unfortunately didn’t match the setting.

I wasn’t feeling great during the day, so I opted for something light and ordered three bruschette. Sadly, they were a bit of a disappointment. The taste was noticeably sour, with cheese that seemed smoked but also possibly past its best. The bread appeared to have been frozen—two of the bruschette were cold, while one was unexpectedly very warm, which made the dish feel uneven and rushed.

The atmosphere is cosy and nice, it makes you feel welcomed and cuddles. The staff has been fantastic, very attentive and ready to help!

I'm pregnant and I couldn't eat the seared tuna, so they changed the fish with salmon for me, in order to give me something that I could eat and that was still tasty - so thoughtful!

The food was delicious, I really loved the pesto they made and the linguine were terrific. The fries were really good too - and the dessert!
