This was our first visit but will not be our last. The food was amazing, each dish full of flavor on its own but all together creating a feast for the senses. We had not eaten since breakfast and with the idea of these being small tapas plated indulged in ordering 5; because the food was so rich, this was more than enough to leave us enough leftovers to "fight"over tomorrow! The miso mushrooms are a must try,and we both loved the combination of gost cheese and Sesame seeds with the beet root tartare...vegetarians will not leave hungry here! The Thai clams had a sauce of ginger and cilantro so flavorful, we belatedly ordered bread in order to sop up all of it after the clams were eaten. We also enjoyed the chicken sausage and breadcrumb roll, which was crispy on the outside with a slightly smoky chicken filling, topped with a fried egg. Our server, Natasha recommended the ginger Mocksville with mint as a refreshing thirst quencher and we were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming, helpful and the food arrived quickly, hot and fresh from the kitchen, even near to closing. The upstairs patio is very relaxing, and the duck and oriental short-haired cat who live here were great company. Under the moonlight, with soft music, it was a very romantic date night with my special guy. An all around wonderful experience, and we are very glad...
Read moreIt was a Sunday evening when my friend and I decided to have dinner at this restaurant. The place has a very modern and stylish interior, with sleek lighting and a lively atmosphere. When we arrived, the restaurant was already quite busy, and we were asked to sit at a large bar-style table near the entrance. It wasn’t the usual type of seating we expected, but it turned out to be quite interesting—there were many people sitting around us, chatting and enjoying their meals, which gave the whole experience a friendly and social vibe. We ordered two dishes along with some bread and two glasses of beer. The food arrived fairly quickly, and everything was well presented. The taste was decent—not particularly outstanding, but good enough for a casual dinner. The bread was fresh, and the beer was cold, which made the meal more enjoyable. However, we did feel that the prices were a bit on the high side compared to what we ordered. It’s not an inexpensive place, especially considering the portion sizes and the overall taste. Still, the atmosphere was pleasant, the staff were polite, and it was a nice spot to spend a Sunday evening. Overall, I’d say it was an average experience with a modern setting and lively crowd, though perhaps...
Read moreSuper fun addition to the island with a great variety of small plates.
Both Pork Belly and Mushroom banh mi sandwiches are succulent and tangy with satisfyingly stubborn bread. Clams were prepared with a tomato and chorizo broth that was reduced to cling nicely and ease serving and sharing. The tuna tataki and Amberjack Crudo were high points. Cocktails were balanced and neither too sweet or too boozy. Chocolate mousse was very rich and while the presentation wasn't refined, the complexity of the flavor was outstanding.
The other feature worth noting, besides it's unique, almost backyard-style setting (water feature and ducks included), is the large square communal dining table that comprises most of the seating. Our group was convivial and discussions were facilitated in all directions.
The waitstaff was really friendly and helpful, we only wished for a little more attention once being seated to get menus and start to order.
Prices were fair: dinner with three dishes, four beverages plus fizzy water and one dessert was 66€, not including gratuity.
Our one request: offer brunch! This would be a great place to hang on a lazy...
