Tourist trap- we paid 140eur per person to have cold mini burgers and starters, main dish was also not appealing and desserts and fresh fruit was the best option. This was New year eve and a buffet that was not specified, it showed a menu and you expected to be served, not a cold cheap option buffet. Even for a buffet the food was so bad, not light to see it, service was not there and you had to go and get your drinks. Very bad food quality, terrible sausages and cheese and main course was better not to be tried. The meat was hard as a shoe sole and fish was low quality. I ate chick peas - for 140eur!!!. I would not recommend this place. Photos look much much better than the food tasted. We spoke to the manager to explain how we felt ripped off and he offered lunch the next day: honestly I would not come back even if they pay me. He tried to blame the chef but I don’t think this was the issue. Someone tried to make quick money offering a cheap experience for an expensive deal. We feel so cheated and disappointed and heard similar comments from the other victims of this scam dinner. Terrible place, terrible service and awful food. Avoid at all cost unless you would like to learn from the best marketing which is remarkable and not at par...
Read moreWell... it was an experience. First, the few good things: The tomato salad was pretty good, the toilet was okay as well.
The other food was adequate, at best. The starter we had (Uma Francesinha) was lacking in taste as well as quantity, do not go there if you are hungry. There is no vegetarian option for warm starters. The vegetarian main dish (chickpeas with humus) I had was adequate standard and lacking taste. The main course (Frango Piri-Piri Chicken) of my companion was severely lacking taste as well and was definitely not for hungry customers, as little as it was.
The waiters weren't really much help, only one understood english, I ordered my drink ('soda lemon water', as it says in the menu) three times until they understood me. They were rather polite, but that's about it. When I asked about vegetarian warm starter dishes, he answered 'No, sorry.' and was gone pretty quickly. As the main dishes were served the waiter said 'Sorry' again. The music was rather loud and the bass pretty intense, talking could be challenging at times.
This restaurant is part of the 'Hilton Group', supposedly they enjoy quite a good reputation - which I definitely can not confirm after the visit the...
Read moreThe food was a big nope. It’s like one of those restaurants that have someone cooking certain world kitchens and everything has a weird curry twist to it. The salad had some weird sriracha like sauce on it, chicken had some hidden chorizo goo coming out of it, the soup had thick corn starch and little flavor to it. Nachos were even clearly doritos… We only liked their mushroom samosas.
Staff is on the other hand very kind and apologised for it and gave some consolidatory drinks for the next time and chewing gums so it was sweet. We found our waiter very professional and proper.
We hope they change their menu...
