I'm not sure if this was just a one-off because it was a Saturday, but I had a really disappointing experience. I went in to order some breakfast to take away, but the staff didn't speak Portuguese and were quite rude. While I was placing my order, I could hear the kitchen staff shouting at each other in a different language, which made the atmosphere quite tense and unwelcoming. I ordered a takeaway coffee, a ham and cheese croissant, and a toast. The person at the counter prepared the coffee and suddenly shouted "latte takeaway is ready" in my direction. I didn’t respond at first, as I thought it wasn’t for me, I assumed everything would be handed over together. Only when they stared at me and asked, "Sir, is it not yours?" did I realise they meant the coffee. I explained, “Sorry, I expected my coffee and food together.” When they gave me the food wrapped in aluminium foil, I asked politely if they had a takeaway bag. They simply said no, with no empathy or willingness to help. When I got home and unwrapped the food, I found that the croissant was burnt, as shown in the photo. Honestly, it was a horrible experience. The café itself looks lovely from the outside, but unfortunately, the service and the food did not live up to the appearance.

My experience at My Coffee Porto was outstanding! The staff was so kind and patient and I absolutely loved the mocha (my go-to in America, and they blow those out of the water). Rich, smooth, chocolate and espresso hits every time. After my crazy 48 hours in Barcelona the açaí bowl was the perfect refreshing breakfast and gave me the energy to hit 30k steps in Porto. 10/10 recommend for a lovely breakfast spot with great views of the cathedral!

Food was fine - we ordered an Acai bowl and a toast with ham and cheese plus 2 nata's and two coffees. Coffee came at a reasonable time but food was about 30 min - which seems really long for cafe food. I complained a bit to the experienced waiter behind the counter who blamed it on their new employee - a super sweet super good waiter who was running back and forth to help everyone - he didn't seem to be the one who made the food, so I don't see how it's his fault that it...
