Im totally impressed with daTerra’s vegan food concept, the variety of dishes as well as the quality of ingredients offered that make this buffet a healthy food lovers PARADISE. I highly recommend it, especially to those that are curious to try out plant-based food. You can eat your way through the all-you-can-eat dinner buffet for only 11,50€ (drinks and Desserts are extra) trying the huge variety of salads, hot dishes and tiny little bites „d'oeuvre“.

Buffet is 100% vegan and they offer many gluten-free grains, such as couscous, quinoa, rice, sweet potatoes etc as well as a great selection of vegetables and legumes - raw and cooked. I personally loved the chickpea curry, tomatoes and cucumber carpaccio, coleslaw salad and tiny little bites. The great thing about healthy, natural food is that you don’t have any digestive issues afterwards which tends to be much more normal when eating bad quality gluten rich foods, diary or meat products. Dinner buffet is offered daily between 7-11pm. They have special discounts for kids and take away. Concept seems to be working as it’s usually packed.

As I loved it so much, I came back for breakfast and it was just as delicious. Breakfast is the only meal that is „A la carte“ only. While the sun was shining in my face, I enjoyed a tofu scramble bread with tomatoes and avocado (Da Terra Toast, 7€) and a freshly squeezed juice with pineapple, Apple and mint (0,33 2.95€). What more can you ask for ?

BTW DaTerra has many different locations outside Porto such as near the beach and in other parts of the country.

Thank you Diego and team for your great...

Dining with Fatima and Paulo was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Their service was impeccable, with recommendations that were spot-on and perfectly tailored to our tastes. Even though the vegan buffet is no longer an option, we certainly weren't disappointed. The a la carte menu proved to be an outstanding alternative, with every dish a testament to incredible attention to detail. We opted to make every plate a sharing plate, and we're so glad we did! The meal began with a delicious spread of focaccia, hummus, and a unique popadom. The starters were followed by two standout main courses: the Katsu mushrooms in a tomato sauce, which was a personal highlight for me, and the Pomegranate, polenta, and aubergine sharing dish, which my partner absolutely adored. Each dish was packed with flavor and creativity. The team was super attentive throughout our meal. While they didn't have a wine ice bucket available, they were diligent and attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty. We finished the evening with a phenomenal pistachio cake with sorbet, which was the perfect ending to an exceptional meal. As a vegetarian, this restaurant was a true highlight of my trip to Portugal. Even my meat-loving partner was thoroughly impressed, declaring he would happily come back for this restaurant alone. The food was excellent, and we sincerely hope they consider opening a branch in England, especially in Brighton! We didn’t get pictures as ate...

Don’t recommend, weird and rude staff. I went to this place twice on my trip and both times had extremely weird experiences with the people who worked there. I would not recommend going here. There are plenty of places to get healthy and sustainable food without getting served by rude people on some lame vegan moral high ground. The first time, I ordered 4 juices to go. They serve them with paper straws, the type that always break down before you finish your juice. I very politely just asked if I could have 1 or 2 extra straws like as a backup and she told me that was very wasteful and not possible. The next time I was there I got 3 juices to go. One of the juices came and the other two were wrong, not the ones we ordered. And the juices took forever. My boyfriend decided to start sipping the 1 juice that was the correct one while we waited for them to bring out the other 2 that were being remade. Then, the girl decided to come over and yell at us - saying that we were wasting plastic because if he was going to drink it in the restaurant, we should not have asked for it to be to-go. Meanwhile the only reason we were still even in the restaurant was because they made a mistake and we were waiting for them to correct it! And also, if they don’t want people using plastic they shouldn’t offer it in their restaurant - they can easily use glass bottles. So bizarre that she would make it our fault for using the plastic that they serve...

Idea of a vegan buffet and its implementation is 5+. Everything from dishes to timing, to service is brilliant about it. Now, it's details that make it a bit uncomfortable and a bit phoney. One has to pay in cash, which is... Not so usual in Europe anymore? It is pretty uncomfortable and with odd pricing you end up with a a full pocket of coins that your are never gonna use. On top of it cash registers is next to the food. And both food and cash are being handled with no gloves. Considering the flow of people I'd say these two zones should apart. And on top of the pile, the tea that costs 2e (which is about 2 times the local price) is plain terrible. They serve a teabag nicely tucked into a huge pot. While the serving is nice - it is a 1 cup bag in abt 400ml water. Now, this could still pass, but the tea bag itself is produced by Lipton. While some people are vegan due to the trend - the others actually care about what they consume. I try to never purchase Unilever or Nestle products due to the terrible corporate practices in these companies. And Lipton is co-owned by Unilever and Pepsi. You can do better! You surely can! Especially considering what you charge for it. Go get local hurbs from local farmers. Why on earth do you get camomile from Unilever. And, hey, mens restroom was very dirty. It was there and it worked. But was extremely gross. And I was in the place 18.30, so it wasn't due to the rush.
