Café Nosso Lar — Restaurant in Porto

My family and I stopped here just at the tail end of the lunch rush which was reflected in both the service and the availability of menu items. I do want to acknowledge that the servers were quite friendly even though very rushed. There was no pretension about this establishment. It is a local cafe which serves basic food. I would come here again if I were in the area and it was lunch time but I would probably be come at the beginning of the lunch hour rather than the end of the lunch hour. I would not make a special trip...

This is the first place we stopped at in Porto because we were staying by. Their cappuccino (although not traditional) was delicious. We got the pastel de nata and the carne empanada (it's called something else) and they both were delicious.

It's a small family run cafe and the service is great and super friendly....

Look at the photo I posted, one of the very best wine I've had! A bit noisy with the street, but the waiter was very nice and kept the wine...
