Café Porta do Olival — Restaurant in Porto

Totally disgusting, not recommended 🚫

I honestly don't know why there are places in Porto that are very well located but DO NOT OFFER QUALITY to tourists. And I am going to write this review in English because I think tourists should be alert to this kind of places. I have been living in Porto for quite some time and I have never had anything like this happen to me before. We went to eat some "francesinhas" (typical food of Porto/Portugal), when we arrived and sat down they took a long time to serve us, the employees were just talking to each other. And there were only us and another guy at another table. We ordered 2 francesinhas (12€ each) not cheap compared to other places. With little molho, cold, the pork meat tasted bad, had a greenish aspect, I left it aside and to top it off a big hair between the meat, for God's sake. What a disgusting thing. There you realize that they only offer something to the public for the sake of offering it and they have no quality and much less hygiene, they changed our plate when we showed them the big hair between the meat, and although they brought us another one it was more of the same!!!! Appearance and preparation NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDABLE. And yes, these are things that can happen, I understand perfectly, maybe not even the employees who were attending the table are to blame, but please I hope that after this they will be more careful. Sincerely I will not return, there are more humble places in the city that offer higher...

@joislunch Wellcome to another dimension. Were the ham and cheese sandwich is broiled, has the consistency of a cake, and wasn't spicy at all like the waitress said. In Porto, I'm trying to find a Kebab place. Ended up in a typical Portuguese restaurant that is not all pastry. Right on some square. Really, the sandwich wasn't bad, fries horrible, but service good and beer cold. Horrible food and bad service as well. Don’t go here. We came here to get a quick bite for dinner, never again. Cold, flimsy fries, salad only had lettuce and carrots. Fried chicken was also cold. The service definitely did not make up for this, unfriendly and didn’t make us feel welcome. Extra to that, the toilet smelled bad and was out of toilet paper. Lastly we order a litre of sangria which just wasn’t tasty either.
