The young woman who greeted us was nice and we went to purchase a can. The cashier,a young man, was very nice and asked if we liked sardines. We told him we'd not had them and he told us to try them first and then pointed us to the samples where two woman were trying all four samples. We waited for the women and then I grabbed a sample and then I grabbed another one for my spouse. The chef said only one sample per person. I explained it was for my spouse. We went to try the next taste and the chef snapped at us about only one sample. Yes, the people in front of us just tried all four. She was rude and it was clear she wanted us to leave. Really fun place to check out and get THE BEST sardines from. I’m always going to be adventurous and try new foods so of course I spent some money in here. Anything you buy you can bring back to the states. I got checked on the way back and they didn’t take the canned food from me. After getting home and opening the sardines I wish I had bought about a dozen of them. They were delicious and our friends that we had over also loved them. We also bought the octopus and it was amazing. The cod was very good also. We did get another fish, I forget which one but it wasn’t that great in my opinion. What a wonderful fun store dedicated to canned fish. It feels like you're in a carnival or the Weasley Twins store from Harry Potter. Truthfully, although they're pricier than sardines you can get at other stores, the can designs are really nice, and the actual product is really good. The Sardines and Bacalhau are actually some of my favorite souvenirs I brought back. They have a wall with cans that feature years. You can locate important years (birth years, graduations, anniversaries) and the cans will say cool information about that year. Comur had multiple locations in Portugal.
