Beers are really just ok... I have 2 favorites from the bunch. The one meal I had was good -probably the best veg burger in all Porto-, and the bartenders are generally really lovely. This was my 3rd time here and I was hoping to make it my new go-to spot, because I love how bright and inviting it is inside with good music playing. Unfortunately, my time was completely spoiled by a nasty jerk of a manager. I was the last person in my party to leave the bar (I was killing a little more time before I met up with another group). My two friends left at different earlier points. When I got my bill, I noticed that something from my friend's tab was on mine and I said I was sure he paid his tab, can you just see if this was mistakenly kept on my bill. The bartender couldn't find an answer so a manager came over and started getting really frustrated with me saying if they are my friends then this is "your problem, not mine." I said I didn't understand that logic, but anyway all I wanted to know is - did HE pay for it? Or did he forget? GUYS, it was a bottle of sparkling water. I don't care if I have to pay for it, I just wanted to know. Well, this manager was getting pissy and said that if he's my friend then he's "carrying a this little piece of paper with his bill on it and he should check it". OK, well my friend isn't here right now. You and I are, so let's figure this out. He then told me "You go and get the money from him, and if we're done here, I've got a lot of other things I'd rather be doing right now." OK, I get that you think it's my responsibility to pay for what's left, since I was the last guy there, but that's actually arguable. What is NOT arguable is that it is 100% your responsibility to deal with bill disputes. Oh, and not be an ass to customers. Unfortunately it ruined my experience and I will not be back. I don't need to be spoken to like that by anyone, let alone someone in...
Read moreThe service is what completely ruined the experience for us. The waiters who served and cleared our table were dismissive and borderline rude. One even made a comment in Portuguese along the lines of “He’s hungry” while taking my order. I understood what he said, as I know some Portuguese and my partner is Brazilian, so it came across as disrespectful.
After finishing our meal, I asked another waiter for the dessert menu. He acknowledged me but never brought it, even after we waited 5–10 minutes. We even noticed him standing around, yet he still ignored us.
The food itself was good. I particularly enjoyed the starter more than the main course. I had the pork belly, and the sauce had a nice kick to it. The main course wasn’t bad either.
The atmosphere was lovely and inviting, which initially made us excited to try this place. Unfortunately, the extremely poor service from the staff has completely put us off returning. It’s a shame, because this could have been a great dining spot for us, and I would’ve loved to try the beers they had on offer. My suggestion would be for the staff to be much more attentive and proactive. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we visited, so there really wasn’t an excuse for the poor service we...
Read moreThis is the first time in my life that I leave a negative review. But the manager-admin just asked for it. I came at 17:30 to watch the football match Borussia - Sporting and warned that I would stay for the second football match - Real - Man City. During the first football match I was calling for a lot of food and beer, after it was over a girl came up and said that this table was free until 9:45. I said "okay", because the football ends at that time. Then the manager asked me to move, because the table was free only until 8:45, I take a photo, at 9:45, it was still free. Then I said that "I have problems with my phone (it died), to which the manager replied "I have problems with your account". I think I heard something like this for the first time in my life. Then they brought me the bill with two extra beers. I have been to this place three times before. I recommended it to friends, but what happened today...
