Gelataria La Copa — Restaurant in Porto

This place is my favorite place to buy ice cream. Their motto is luxury ice cream and yeaaahh I do agree. I recommend this ice cream shop when you are in Porto, except the difficulty to find a parking.

It is located near the main road where it will be difficult to find a park for your car. We always park our car a bit far from to place and we reach by walking. The place is not big and the ambient feels good and cozy. They have inside sitting and garden sitting. If it is a good weather, it is worth-trying to sit outside. They offer ice cream in various prices. We bought taça with 3 flavors costs 6.10 euros. You can have a waffle with ice cream, ice cream in the glass, ice cream with cone, and many mores. You can choose before paying. They have almost 10 flavors of ice cream to choose. My favorite is nata. The price is kind of average. You get what you pay. You can pay in cash or with card. The staffs are quite friendly and helpful. They greet us and say thank you. You can have a free glass of water to remove the flavor when you have more than 1 flavor...

After passing several times in front of this place I finally went in with a group of friends. We all asked for some ice creams and fresh fruit juice. I tried the Nutella and blueberry flavors of ice cream, and the Apple juice. I must say the Nutella flavor did not taste anything like Nutella, it did however taste like chocolate, which I don't like. The blueberry ice cream was indeed good, but not good enough to make me crave for more. So overall the ice cream flavors i tried were disappointing. on the other hand, the Apple juice taste great, and I don't think they added any sugar on it. Another thing in favor of this place is the terrace in the back, which is completely unexpected until you are actually there. I would rate this place 3.5/5 stars, but hopefully other ice cream flavors might be better than the ones I tried so I am...

I don’t know why, but the older male worker very obviously did not want our business. We walked in and waited a few minutes, then 2 people walked in behind us and he said hi to them while completely ignored our existence even though we were standing directly infront of them. After a few more minutes he even looked directly at us, didn’t say anything and just went on to do something else. No greeting or any acknowledgment at all, I don’t know if he was purposely ignoring us. There were 2 workers and the store wasn’t busy, so for that reason I felt unwanted and awkward. We waited for him to finish making something for a customer to see if he would come and take our order but he still ignored us so we left without ordering after waiting a few more minutes.
