So incredibly stressful. It’s super hard to find and there are no signs or anything so you have no idea if you’re in the right place, if we hadn’t gotten a driver from the airport we probably wouldn’t have found it.|The worst part was the host, we got in at about 11 but they weren’t going to come down until 1230pm so we had to cart our luggage around until then. We waited downstairs and they didn’t come down until past 1230pm so we just stood there hoping someone was coming down (no doorbell to ring or anything). We booked months ago and they told us they would do anything to accommodate an early check in but when the host came down it was clear we weren’t getting in a second before 3pm and as it turned out they didn’t let us in at 3pm either. ||The host told us be back at 3pm and I’ll let you in, so we were downstairs waiting at 3pm and the host didn’t come. We were standing in the cold with a massive construction site in front of us (by the way it’s surrounded by construction at the moment so you can’t get a driver to drive up to it they have to park and walk you). The host didn’t come down so we were just standing there facing an empty hallway listening to BANG BANG BANG of the construction, about 10 past 3 it was clear the host wasn’t coming down so I had to turn on my international data roaming and pay $15 to call the bnapartments and then they had to contact the host to come down. So she was up in the apartments all along but just didn’t come down at 3pm despite her telling us that was the time to meet and us paying for that check in time.|When the host finally came down after two phone calls she was annoyed at us and commented how she had been “on her way”, as if we were going to know that. It was such a stressful experience as all our luggage was up there and we were just left waiting endlessly not knowing what was going on.||Shower floor dangerous and rocked, flooded, cigarettes on balcony, loud; woke to baby crying every morning, dishwasher full. Big dent in middle of bed so you have to sleep either side of it. Stained couch. ||Would never stay at any bnapartment after this experience and will warn others not to either. Just so horrible and stressful, the whole trip I regretted not booking a...
Read moreA great choice. Fantastic location in a nice neighborhood with nearby restaurants, grocery shopping, local transportation and nearby public parking (23 Euros per day). We mostly used Uber to get around Porto because it's quick, super cheap and easier than driving.||||The room was clean and quiet with all the amenities of a furnished apartment (including full kitchen & housewares). The comfortable twin beds fit large & tall people and were indeed welcome. Attractive and modern furnishings. The very best air conditioning of any place we can remember staying (and it was really hot outside). ||||Our apartment was of moderate size, but felt rather large with the Ikea "living module" in the center of the room. The kitchen unit worked quite well with lots of handy storage. The bathroom facilities were surprisingly spacious and had a fabulous shower. Hot water was near instant with constant pressure. Large high-quality bathroom towels were supplied. The classic windows and outdoor balcony of this Napoleonic-era building were a nice touch. ||||Prior to making our reservation, the staff responded promptly to my online messages (much appreciated). Our host met us promptly and was most helpful. A phone number was offered for assistance... and we did call to figure out the electronic ceramic kitchen range. The charges for our stay were reasonable and with no added gotcha fees. We paid on the spot with Euros.||||During the first leg of our month-long driving trip through Portugal, Spain and Morocco, we had a lovely 3-night stay in Porto at the Loftpuzzle. My wife and I are life-long world travelers and have stayed at accommodations ranging from simple hostels to luxury 5-star hotels. We have nothing but good things to say about BN and the LoftPuzzle apartments. It made our wonderful stay in Porto...

I don’t know, I’m no expert but what I do know is that if you’re into that sort of thing, you’ll feel right at home if you stay in this apartment.
We stayed in a nice enough flat in the centre of Porto only to find a continuous stream of drug addicts shooting up or smoking substances from bits of foil, not to mention them vomiting and urinating, in the alley just under our balcony. When I phoned and asked the person who checked us in if this was normal she told me that “… it wasn’t but it has become normal…” and suggested that I call the police and the Intercontinental hotel which is adjacent to our apartment. (It’s no surprise that the windows to all their rooms facing this alley all have their shutters down). To my surprise the hotel security guard knew one of the drug users by name and the police, who eventually came, did nothing but ask for some ID and move them along. Suffice it to say, within 15 minutes, the smell of piss, vomit and drugs wafted up into our balcony once again as a new bunch of users arrived.
If you stay at one of these apartments, I suggest asking for a room that faces the square unless you’re an expert in these...
