As I strolled through the picturesque streets of Porto, Portugal, the savory aroma of the sea beckoned me towards a culinary gem - Marisqueira do Porto. Tucked away in a charming alley, the restaurant promised a seafood feast that mirrored the city's coastal allure.

Entering, I was greeted by a maritime-inspired decor that transported me to the ocean's embrace. The ambiance reflected the restaurant's dedication to its seafood concept, creating an immersive experience. Intrigued, I perused the menu, discovering a bounty of fresh catches and traditional Portuguese delicacies.

Opting for a seafood platter, the flavors danced on my palate, each bite a celebration of the sea's richness. The chef's mastery was evident in the perfectly cooked dishes that showcased Porto's maritime culinary heritage.

The attentive staff at Marisqueira do Porto enhanced the evening, sharing insights into the seafood selections and ensuring a delightful dining experience. This restaurant not only captured the essence of Porto's coastal charm but also elevated it through a delectable seafood symphony. A visit to Marisqueira do Porto is not just a meal; it's a gastronomic journey through Porto's...

Dissatisfied. Ordered the most expensive dish -115 euro. Set of seafood. Disappointed.I and my husband love seafood but that was cooked BADLY. mussels and scallops have the same bad taste. Seems like all of them boiled together. The same taste everywhere. Potato Fri have too much oil flavor. bread loaves are all in oil in which you can hear the aftertaste of something else fried. this dish does not cost that much. we are sorry for the 115 euros spent here and also for the time. went home disappointed. No atmosphere in this place. Next to the table on the windowsill was a mark from the sole of a shoe. Artificial decorations make the establishment cheap. I cook seafood at home and even I know how to serve mussels with the leg cut off!! it is necessary to remove the intestine and the consequences of vital activity from the...

We came to check out the massive seafood plate in the photos. It was very underwhelming.

First, only the 100eu seafood plate is hot served, the rest (40eu and 50eu) are boiled and cold served. So we opted for the 100eu...

The plate was visually faithful to online images. However, it didn't taste like grilled and hot as promised. Most of the stuff was overcooked and chewy. I felt it was a crime to treat good seafood that way... (I'm from Vietnam and we are serious about seafood).

Finally, the bill came and charged us a plate of bread which they offered in the beginning and we didn't touch any. Maybe this is just my principle, anything offered as a warm welcome gesture should not be charged later on.. in their defense, they did remove the bread after we pointed it out.

Unfortunately, I dont...

Marisqueira do Porto – A happy accident turned seafood feast We were heading for francesinhas but accidentally pulled into the private parking of Marisqueira do Porto — the kind of mistake that gives more than it takes. We walked in and never looked back. We started with shrimp and ended up with a full seafood feast. The shell-on shrimp had a firm texture and deep coral color — a clear sign of quality and incredible flavor. Much better than the soft-shell types you sometimes get elsewhere. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. The staff was warm and especially kind to our daughter, which made the experience feel even more like home. Great food, relaxed vibe, fair prices and private parking — we left full, happy, and already planning to return.

Marisqueira was recommended to us by friends. We booked a table for two for lunch. By 1400 the restaurant was full. I began with oysters. The oysters were opened but not completely shucked. The top shell was still on and they took some effort to completely detach the oyster from the shell. The oysters were served only with lemon, no vignette. Good but the first time eating oysters in the rough. I had tiger prawns and my wife had the squid. Both were delicious and outstanding. The tiger prawns especially were generous and tasty. We finished with coffee following the excellent white wine that accompanied lunch. Service was excellent and the server spoke fluent English. We would go back again.
