My wife and I were recently in Porto and after descending along the winding street from a rooftop bar, we found our selves "lost" with little time to spare before our boat was set to sail. We came into this small homey restaurant and asked if they could call us a taxi. The were very helpful and did so right away. When the taxi arrived I took a moment and went back inside to thank the lady again and give her a tip for being so helpful. On the way out, a man observing (perhaps an owner) shook my hand for being kind to the lady. I wish we could have eaten there that night. They were so nice. We'll be back in Porto one day and will seek them out and see if their food is as good as their kind personalities. I'm sure it will be. Thank you to the folks at...

The idea was to eat some tasty fish close to the river. We came to the place and the old lady (probably the owner) took ages to even notice us. We received a beer soaked menu with overpriced fish which made us change our opinion and only order the "vino de la casa" and huevos rotos. Beside the plates still had some food rust on them which hadn't been cleaned properly.

The fries seem to be frozen ones, but we expected it already, since we only planned a little snack before looking for a better restaurant.

When the bill came they charged doubled the price, so instead of 7,50€, 15€. After mentioning they came with the correct bill and a "Ooops, sorry".

Wouldn't recommend this place at all, unless you're looking for some cheap beers in the shade...

Based on reviews we thought this would be a decent place where locals go.... when we were ordering the waitress told us that some foods were not available that day - she listed about half of the menu which is not ideal really (I am pescetarian so I was OK but most vegetarian options were not available that day). Then she brings us the cutlery and none of it looked clean - I actually wiped it with an antibac wipe and my sister made a joke that we will pay for this decision later (luckily nobody was sick). I reckon most of the menu is cooked in the morning and then served throughout the day, as some of our food was cold when served (we had the cod pastries elswhere as well and they were served warm/hot). Would...

This small place makes you feel like your eating on portugese home. The sweet lady there has every day a different dish cooked, basically as home, cooked in the proper traditional way and very tasty and fresh. I wouldn’t come across this place if it wasn’t for my airbnb next to it. Absolutely recommend if you’re in the area and you want to eat like a real portugese.

Sobremesa caseira Nata dos Céus, apeteceu-me comer a segunda.
