We stumbled across this restaurant by chance as we were on our way for lunch. Out of curiosity, we went around just to check it out and caught sight of a rooftop terrace. The decision was made immediately!! We were greeted very courteously by the waitress behind the counter who did her best and gave us the last table. We were seated promptly. The view was breathtaking. Despite being completely on her own, seating the guests, taking orders, serving all the dishes and not speaking English or French, she remained calm and friendly. The menu changes daily. 8.50€ for a starter which was vegetables soup and a main dish, seafood rice or meat and beans. A glass of wine to go with the menu was 2€, dessert at 2€ (from the à la carte menu), coffee at 1€ each. All in all with 2 glasses of wine and desserts we paid 25€!! I saw the negative feedbacks on the food on Google!! Honestly for such a price, the location and views, I would have expected to pay much more. I loved the dishes, the service, location, decor, and the value for money. Thank you very much for such a...
Read moreWe arrived without a reservation but were asked to wait five minutes as the restaurant hadn't opened for the evening. After some confusion as to which table they wanted to seat us at, we were settled and feeling hopeful about the meal. The restaurant setting is very nice, and the prices are reasonable given the quality of the food. We each enjoyed our meal but the service was incredibly stuffy and condescending. The waiter discouraged each of us from ordering our first choice, and brought wine for us to choose before he knew what we would be eating. We were given an incorrect appetizer, but the waiter just shrugged and said the kitchen had "made a mistake." If I went back I'd stick with my first choice of meal, and ask to see a wine list. Again, the food was nice. I can see how some folks might enjoy the uber-formal service, while others would find it very uncomfortable...
Read moreIf you are not Portuguese or dressed to the nines, I would absolutely not recommend this place. My husband and I along with another couple walked into this place hoping to enjoy the nice views and lunch. From the moment we entered the premises we were harshly judged because we spoke English and we were wearing jeans. We were hoping the bad experience would end there, unfortunately it did not. As we walked the stairs, we noticed two roches. When seated, the waitors were absolutely horrible. Any questions we asked in regards to the drinks or food, his response was, “if it’s not on the menu, then we don’t have it!” When we did ask about an item on the menu, he stormed off to ask the chef and we could see him yelling to his coworkers about us. Due to such terrible service and experience, we decided to leave. Spend your money somewhere else in Porto, this is not the place to...
