Ponte Pensil — Restaurant in Porto

I would never recommend this place. Horrible service, great location. I ordered what the server recommended, took a few bites trying to convince myself that I like it until I decided to send it back for something else. I apologetically asked the sever if I could exchange my order for something else. Server takes my food to the back. Manager then approached the table and very passive aggressively told me I cannot order something else unless I was to purchase another item. Even after telling him I simply just didn't like it and him not caring. I then declined and said because I paid for it, can I have it back? They brought it back from wherever they had it and was forced to eat what didn't taste good to me.

Shortly before that incident a man approached our table selling items, harassing us to purchase what he placed on our table. I waved at the server for help because a man was trying to hustle us and on their property? And got no assistance.

Let me tell you…. After a long walk and a boat ride I needed food and I thought I will indulge myself, I sat down outdoors waiting to be served till a no very friendly waitress arrived, but she was not willing to helped so I ended up ordering a Calabresse salad not knowing that it was to feed 2 people and Huevos rotos (bed of chips loaded with with chilli mayonnaise, lots of prosciutto and two eggs on top) if the waitress would’ve been nicer she would’ve told me that both meals were large serves but no therefore I had to eat had of my salad with the eggs and some of the prosciutto, the chips weren’t edible at all. I don’t think this is a restaurant that I would recommend to anyone, most of the staff were able to speak English, Spanish and Portuguese and I can master all of them but I was unlucky that I’ve got the worse...

Came here with my family and left hungry and disappointed. My father said his burger patty was definitely frozen and reheated in the microwave before being served. I ordered the Ponte burger and there was more onions than the burger itself. The rest of my family did not enjoy their meals as much either.

Considering the view is by the bridge, it was nice to be by the river, though the music was loud and kind of ruined the vibe.

The only good thing about the restaurant is the service. I didn’t catch his name but our server was nice and understood us well. He also made sure my allergies were attended to, which I’m grateful for.

Overall, I don’t suggest going here, you’ll get a better bang for your buck on other food places. I can’t say whether this place is good for drinks though since we...
