Nice decor, good wine and friendly service. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing for this price point.

First course - we ordered scallops and tuna tartar. The flavours were not particularly in sync - for example the tuna tartar has an overpowering taste of cinnamon and strong sour taste from the apples - both don't work very well with the tuna. The scallops come with a veg tart and sorbet which to us was an odd combination.

The mains - scallop risotto and cod with bacon and spinach. The cod was very fresh, but the spinach egg base was nothing extraordinary. The risotto had the same mistake as the first courses - while the scallops were fresh and nice, the risotto was cooked with apricots which tasted out of place with the rest of the dish (shrimp, seafood stock, scallops).

The dessert - the chocolate fondant was delicious and the cakes were okay. But... They were served on IKEA plates...

Overall, it was an underwhelming dinner. The food was fresh, but the way it was...

We had a lovely lunch at Restaurante O Comercial in the Palácio de Bolsa, the famous palace and Porto chamber of commerce on a Saturday. It is a historic setting we had seen while visiting and not easy to get a booking. We began with fois gras, then my wife had the duck confit while I had the fillet mignon. For dessert we had the apple crumble and caramel petite gâteau. We had an excellent Alentejo red wine, the Olho de Mocho Reserva, and with the dessert a 20 year old tawny port. Service was stellar from Carmelo. We had a window table on a sunny day. We plan to return. On Saturday if you tour the palace, you can save your tickets with the QR code and get 30% off if ordering ala carte. No discount on the €20 M-F special that includes a starter, a main, a dessert, water, a glass of wine and bread. It is an excellent lunch in a...

This restaurant is really a perfect restaurant with a palace vibe. It is located inside the Palacio da Bolsa, it is very intimate, quiet, I love the vibe! The service was amazing as well, the price was excellent. We took the Executive Set Menu of 3 course with wine, it was super good! We started with the cheese bread-ish, I forgot the name with a big portion of it, and then I had the risotto with octopus which was really good and comforting, and the dessert was my favourite, citron merinque with fruit sauce, the best! I would love to go back there when I re-visit Porto for sure!!
