Purtroppo, la mia esperienza in questo locale non è stata all'altezza delle aspettative. Avevo scelto il posto attirata dalla sua posizione, in una graziosa piazzetta che sembrava il cuore pulsante della movida locale, piena di osterie e piccoli bar. Sembrava il luogo perfetto per immergersi nell'atmosfera tipica della città. Purtroppo, la realtà è stata ben diversa. Il locale è una vera e propria trappola per turisti. La qualità del cibo e delle bevande è, a dir poco, deludente. Il vino rosato della casa (15 euro) era eccessivamente frizzante e dolciastro, un gusto che potrebbe non piacere a tutti. I panini con prosciutto e carne salada (5 euro) erano passabili, anche se un po' secchi. La delusione più grande sono state le patatine fritte: insipide e servite senza salse, decisamente non consigliate. In sintesi, il locale sfrutta la sua posizione strategica per attirare clientela, ma non offre nulla di autentico o di qualità. Un vero peccato, considerata la bellezza della piazza. Se cercate un'esperienza genuina, vi consiglio di cercare altrove. Costo complessivo 30 euro. Personale comunque simpatico e super disponibile

First night in Porto and stopped off here despite many other choices The restaurant looked quiet which is sometimes concerning, however the excellent service and amazing food soon put my mind at ease. The sharing rib eye steak is possibly one of the best I have ever had, I will definitely be returning

Had the pernil com ovo. The pernil/slow roasted pork was amazing! A few glasses of tinto and the pleasant atmosphere made for an enjoyable dinner. Would recommend and come again to try another dish. The wait staff were great, and responded quickly to request. Very patient with and english speaker.

We went to this lovely place with our tour guide (Isa). We were greeted by the owner and the waiter and welcomed with opened armes. Know let’s get to the important stuff, if I could I would give them 10 stars. First of all EVERYTHING THING is homemade/self-made, you can see that the moment you get your bread, mead and wine. The owner has a farm, so that explains everything. We were lucky enough to be served with the best young wine I have ever tried until this day, it’s actually a freshly pressed white grapes sweet and a little sparkly and it was served cold, best desert I have had in Porto it even topped all the sweets I tried here. I am a resident of Porto and have tried the Francesinha at other restaurants in the neighborhood, but this one at Trigo de Cantos was THE BEST, better than the one in the same area that everyone says is the one you should try (that one I found disappointing). I highly recommend Trigo not only for the good food but for their accommodating care. One of my friends had a serious allergy to dairy and they made a special sandwich for her. They have both indoor and outdoor tables. The fries were served separately leaving them crispy and delicious, not soggy. The Francesinha sauce was quite flavorful and the meats were perfectly cooked and plentiful. Highly recommend. I will come back for other...

My husband and I have been in Porto for a few months and we both so thoroughly enjoy the experience of going to Trigo de Cantos and all that they have to offer. The owner and the staff are just the best and are always willing to help us with our very limited Portuguese. They have unbelievably delicious food like their Sandes de Pernil (with/without sheep's cheese), vegetarian omelet on their fantastic bread and their Vinho Verde is so, so good, especially on a hot day. Friends of ours enjoyed their charcuterie board as well. We can't recommend them...
