Went here yesterday spontaneously and immediately fell in love with the place!
It's this cozy little pub/bar with a fresh take on the medium, a vitalized and personal menu and a medieval/viking theme throughout that they manage without it being tacky. It seems to be ran by the right kind of people. Everybody working there had great energy and they were super helpful and kind and the vibes were great in there.
I'm also a huge fan of mead since many years and knowing that they bottle their own was my initial motivation to visit. Now I'm two bottles richer as they have a store that sells the mead atop the pub.
I tried one of their toasts. I had to try the one named Hobbit. Very nice choice of bread, tomato pesto, olives, cheese, mushrooms.. and for the price you pay you get two big toasts and a platter of potato chips so you're absolutely getting your money's worth!
They also have a nice assortment of tea so even if you're not drinking alcohol on the particular day that you visit you will still enjoy your stay very much.
They seem to have live music ever so often... yeah... I'm practically in love with the place. I'll try to have my partner tag along as often as I can.
Oh and they play music like Wardruna and Blind Guardian, what's...

This medieval-style pub is the perfect refuge on a chilly evening, offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like stepping into another time. The crackling fireplace, rustic decor, and soft medieval melodies create an unmatched vibe—cozy, mysterious, and deeply comforting.
The food is simple but fantastic. Their toasties are perfectly crisp and satisfying, making them the ideal companion to a cold night. But the real highlights here are the drinks—a rich selection of teas to warm the soul and mead that transports you straight into a medieval feast. The mead is smooth, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to sip.
Beyond the food and ambiance, the people make this place truly special. The staff are welcoming, passionate, and full of great recommendations, adding to the sense of being a guest in a magical hidden tavern. Whether you’re stopping by after exploring Sintra’s mystical landscapes or seeking an atmospheric escape, Casa do Fauno is an unforgettable experience—a must-visit for lovers of history, comfort, and a truly...
Read moreThis place casts a spell on visitors. Tucked away from the bustling touristy part of Sintra, your greeter will very likely be one of the 7 (as of writing this) resident familiar cats. Be gentle and they'll welcome you with a purr. Choose between PLENTY of outdoor seating from where you can watch the sunset, or cross the threshold into the dwelling of the Faun. Amazing atmosphere, great playlist on a Tuesday and the friendliest of staff, so please treat them well. We ordered several items between customised toasts and tried out several liquors and the flagship Hidromel. The price we paid was lower than most brunch places in Sintra and we still left will full bellies. It's worth it to add presunto to the cheese and honey toast ;)
Upstairs, one of the cosiest esoteric shops I've visited. I was greeted with a smile and a sleepy cat. Consider tipping the Cat Fund while you're browsing the items, they are SO sweet and cute, they really help put the place together.
They had ran out of "Poção da Bruxa" when I visited, so I'll have to return to try and taste it another...
