I would give this ZERO stars if I could. I was alone, and standing outside waiting to be seated at 2pm. The restaurant was marginally busy (albeit people were eating and no line). The waitress made eye contact with me at least 10 times and still made me wait. Finally asking if I wanted to sit outside or inside, she seemed annoyed. I asked to sit outside. She took 10 minutes to give me the menu, when I had already decided on what I wanted. I turned back again to make eye contact to order my drink and mains, however this time she saw me and she walked the other way.

This is disgusting unprofessional behaviour from the waitress. I simply got up and left. If you’re a solo brown person, avoid. I can sense all the other people eating being treated well. And here’s me. Disgusting. I do not recommend. Take your money and...

There were many tables available and they wanted us to seat right next to the heater which was extremely hot, we were either going to sweat during the whole meal or getting on fire... I don't understand these restaurants that have many tables available and try to seat clients on the worst tables, are they oblivious on how to run a business?

We ordered the codfish for 1 and Partridge for 2. The codfish was nice. The Partridge portion was not enough for 2 and it was super dry with a very bad and exaggerated pepper sauce. Way too expensive for the quality of the food. What saved the experience were the deserts...

The man that served us talks in a fancy way to give the impression that the restaurant is fancy but his fingernails were all bitten and were dirty, his fingers had dirty spots... Disgusting.

Overhyped...

Really cute location in a hotel in Sintra. Our tour guide recommended we go here for lunch to eat some traditional Portuguese cuisine. The service was great - our waiter was very kind and personable and explained some of the dishes to us.

We ordered the veal steak and steak as mains and garlic prawns as a starter.

Prawns were disappointing - slightly overcooked and sauce was a bit salty. We noticed the last prawn on our plate was not deveined at all - which was pretty disgusting and unsanitary. The bread was not good. Dry and cold.

The veal steak I ordered was quite good, but the other steak my cousin ordered was not. Undercooked (she asked for medium) and the creamy sauce with capers did nothing to improve the flavor. Maybe we ordered the wrong things but we were disappointed...

I CANNOT recommend this more! Three of us ate here today (one can't have garlic, one can't have dairy). We absolutely and completely loved it. We stopped off on our walk between pena palace and one of the quintas and my was it a happy accident. We had the spicy fish rice and the cod a la tacho. The spicy rice was heavenly, stunning, simple perfection, two of us were given a very healthy portion of 5 bowls total. The cod was so beautifully presented. The drink selection was brilliant (I would recommend the fresh lemonade on a hot day). The staff are incredibly lovely, friendly and just a good laugh. They made us feel incredibly comfortable but definitely not smothered. As I said before, I cannot recommend more From P, J and L who would definitely visit again.

Fantastic food with an excellent wine list. The service was amazing as well. We had a couple of soups to start and they were perfect. The server recognized one of them was for our baby and had it sent over a little colder and with none of the garnish. So thoughtful. I also had the Empada de Caça to start. It was a bit gamey with a little bit of gristle. I would have preferred a straightforward chicken empada but it was fantastic nevertheless. The grilled vegetable entre was excellent. I had the Beef Wellington as well and loved it. I’m a sucker for a Beef Wellington. Overall, a wonderful restaurant and we can’t wait to come back to Sintra and go at the rest of the menu.
