Hanne Café — Restaurant in Tomar

By far the best cafe in Tomar. Great lattes with soy and oat milk alternatives. The toasts are huge so one will (likely) fill you up. My son had "The Jane" toast and it was spectacular! I had the same but in the croissant sandwich form. The pancakes are two 7" diameter stacked on top of each other with your fillings generously placed in between and on top. That was really good as well. I bought some vegan treats on the way out and my wife loved it. Sorry I forgot to take photos since it was all so delicious but I will upload the front of the menu. Such a lovely place with superfriendly staff. Unfortunately the exhaust seems to not work and i guess lunch had been busy. I am the only customer in the café but the air is heavy with a greasy smell. I consider sitting outside but as its' rather chilly i am staying inside as far away from the open kitchen as possible. Then the friendly barlady brings me my coffee. I requested a dark milky coffee. Went here for an Expat gathering from Coimbra, shortly after they opened,, and really found this place to very charming and had wonderful food. My husband and myself really enjoyed our food selections. My husband said it was the first time he had had bacon and it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was delightful, decor was adorable and very clean, light and bright. The staff was attentive, quick and always helpful with suggestions. We will definitely return here when we are back in town again with another Expat...
