Extremely rude hosts and poor hospitality!!!

I was really disappointed with the level of hospitality I received. The Asian host was rude and unwelcoming, which is not what you expect from a 5-star hotel restaurant. We called ahead before coming and we’re told there was a table and we could come in. We arrive to the host within 1 min of calling for her to tell us there was no availability making us seem like liars! What's even more frustrating is that they claimed there was no availability, even though there were clearly plenty of empty tables. Not only that the host was disrespectful and argumentative towards you. We called the reservation line again and told her what happened and she told us there was a table and she booked us in. We come again for the host to tell us the table was free and we had to wait! Wait for what? Ghosts to leave the table?? Both calls all happened within the span of 4 min??!! What makes it more unpleasant is that I’m a regular in the restaurant and I love the atmosphere and the food quality but this experience ruined it for me. Unbelievably poor hospitality and that was not a one time bad experience but plenty from the same host. As a seven rooms restaurant, this behavior stains their name with shame!! I highly recommend to train your host on hospitality management and professionalism to ensure a more pleasant and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.also, make sure both your reservation team and hosts communicate efficiently next time to prevent further...

Went to the restaurant a couple of days ago tried to reserve a table and they told me that they don’t do reservations, as it’s a “first come, first serve” where instead you could add your name to a waiting list, and I thought that that was fair enough, added my name, and 20 minutes later was seated. Came in today expecting the same thing only to be surprised that you need to reserve a table in advance, I founded that odd since 3 days ago I was told something completely different. Nevertheless, called the number for the reservation, after almost begging for it from the waitress and after keeping up with her extremely rude attitude.

When I called the number it was another story in itself. The person answering was extremely rude even though I could see him answering my call behind the counter, with an extremely rude behavior that emphasizes the fact that the restaurant doesn’t care whether I was accommodated or not. The cherry on top of this horrible phone call, was him jokingly telling me that he’ll book me a table in March (writing this in January).

I recommend that no one comes to this horrible place or puts up with there Horrendous hospitality standards, there are plenty of better alternatives around who actually respect their clients like; sumosan, sassna, reberu,… just...

We had dinner in IZU (FIRST FLOOR) There are 3 dining areas (1st floor for fine dining ,ground floor and outdoor)each one has a concept. We liked the menu of fine dining . The place is very quit , the food is delicious .

the service was outstanding with Ms Rafaela . follow her food recommendations and you will never regret.

Must try: Blue berry with feta salad was fresh ,light and delicious.

The octopus was tender and yummy.

Mocktail called La vie en Rose.it’s cherry with berries and pineapple .very recommended.

My friend tried the grilled baby chicken and she like it.

The food is mix of French and meditation in the fine dining menu.at ground floor, you can have only a coffee and desert during the day and they have also a good food menu and set menu .

I was celebrating my friend’s birthday .i would thank the manager who surprised her with the desert and candle and he was making sure that we have a good experience in the restaurant. also thanks to Sara for flower arrangement.

Please note that reservation is required and it is usually...

I went for breakfast whilst exploring Downtown Doha. They serve breakfast till 15:00. Located in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Walk-in guests can go and you don't need to be staying at the hotel. Simple but good breakfast selection. I went with the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and this came with a small freshly toasted French baguette. They didn't have any smoked salmon but it was fine, these things happen. I opted for mushrooms instead with a small black americano. The latter came with a little biscuit. Everything was perfect. From the moment I entered, staff were beyond helpful, pleasant and friendly. I felt like a princess! Service was efficient. Lovely like brasserie type place, light with a nice atmosphere of mainly local Qataris. Clean. I had a lovely breakfast and a relaxing morning. My eggs were perfect and medium done as I wanted and the baguette melted in my mouth. Well presented. I gladly finished everything. Not too badly priced given the location. I was served primarily by Aravind who was very nice. Highly recommend.

What we liked:The service is great. The staff is friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The look and design of the space is nice as well. The aesthetics are clean whites with touches of metallic. The view from the second floor gives you a nice look out over what will be a busy courtyard, some day. The appetizers were very well made. The beef tartare and green beans with foie gras were both dishes I’d order again. The eggplant bruschetta was v good. I’d recommend all those. What could be better: the mains were too sweet. The tomato sauce had too much sugar in it making the mains taste like dessert. Dishes were expensive— which is to be expected at a place of this quality— but the food didn’t live up to the receipt total. The location was troublesome for some uber drivers but this will change as it becomes more well known. Worth mentioning: wine list is well priced for the country and the quality. Secret bar is a nice touch. Staff pays attention to details. Will edit this review in time to reflect updates.

Uzi Restaurant at Mandarin Oriental Qatar: A Stellar Dining Experience! Five stars simply aren't enough to describe the incredible experience I had at Uzi. This restaurant, nestled within the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Qatar, is a true gem. The Wagyu Hamburger was a revelation!** Perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with flavor. It was hands down the best I've ever had. Every bite was a symphony of rich, savoury goodness. And then there was the passion desert... Oh my! A masterpiece of culinary artistry, it was a stunning display of textures and flavours that left me speechless. From the impeccable service to the elegant ambience, everything about Uzi was top-notch. This is a restaurant that truly understands the art of fine dining. **If you're looking for an unforgettable gastronomic adventure, you absolutely must visit Uzi. You won't be disappointed!
