Inland dune bashing experience was is one of a kind. Without any doubt this place and it’s landscape is mesmerizing, In order to get away your holidays or weekend you can not find any better option. I suggest you to grab a 4*4 off-roading vehicle preferably toyota Land Cruiser , because the landscape is unpredicted and experience driving skill is mandatory to reach the destination and come back. We paid 600 qar for a Land Cruiser with a highly skilled driver and they provided water, sand boarding facilities. Our journey started from matar qadeem by 2 clock where the pick up is provided by the travel partner and reached sea-line beach in 45 minutes, later we began our dune bashing and could do couple of haunts during the journey and reached the place by 4 pm and spent around 20 minutes and wat back we have done sand boarding as well. They charge Baggie ride and camel safari in extra cost also. Even though private vehicles allowed to enter the place , I would say it’s very risky to drive especially during peak hours. Over night camping and desert fishing is available in different packages. The journey is family friendly and kids are allowed but only at our risk. The drawbacks I felt was there is no specific place to change the dress in the sea area , where ladies would face difficulties. The return journey is highly risk as the vehicles are travels more than 150 kmph and there is no division in the unspecified door . I recommend you to visit the place before sunrise. Bring some snacks and as the food availability is zero during...
Read moreHad such high expectations but was left extremely disappointed and frankly extremely angry. Family of 13 and all felt the same. Supposed to start at 2 and actually started almost one hour later. Bear in mind sunset is 4.30 pm and it takes an hour to drive to the area where you can do the quad bikes / camel rides in December so basically this was always destined to be a disaster. Started with camel rides - literally a 5 min rush job to go no more than 50m and back. We then rushed to do quad biking before it got dark. Was told by our guide it’s not safe after dark but tour manager said it’s fine. Quad biking was fine. When it ended we drove to inland sea and by now it was pitch black. Couldn’t enjoy the views and certainly couldn’t swim in the sea like we were told originally. The ride in the desert in pitch black was quite scary and again couldn’t enjoy the view. Finally sand boarding. We were presented with 1 sand board between 13 of us. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry and by now had just given up so said nothing. But frankly that was a joke and again sandboarding in pitch black is not only pointless but actually dangerous. There was actually a buggy approaching my son at one point which could have been a disaster. If we had actually started on time and been allowed to sea the sunset and do the activities in daylight this would have been awesome. However I felt like we wasted a great deal of money and didn’t enjoy because of the dark. ...
