I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trapani Msheireb Doha, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience that left me absolutely delighted. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was captivated by its elegant ambiance and warm, welcoming atmosphere.

On August 13th at around 1PM, we visited this restaurant and it was such a let down!

The food was not our problem. In fact, the food might have been great! But we wouldn’t know it because the waiter and his service upset our appetite from the time we found our table!

Had to call for his attention to welcome us with the menu or just say a simple “hi”. We had to wave him down and he hesitantly acknowledged us with a blank face as if we did not belong there. (His supervisor is well within the vicinity at the door)

Had the same unwelcome and bland, low voice responses while we were trying to give our food preferences. No questions or anything. We initiated every request or question.

Did not want to know our drink preferences and when I asked him if he has any soft drinks, response was “coke - sprite” which i know is not the only options in that restaurant. I asked “do you have fanta?” Response: Head shake with eyes on his device/note.

ALL THIS while his supervisor is standing near his station at the door. We felt unwelcome to a place where we are paying for food and service. It was a special day so we wanted to have a good meal and I regret going there to celebrate it.

I did not want to write this review but this experience bothers me every time I think about it.

TLDR: I would not recommend visiting this branch unless you are looking for dismissive service and a large number of unavailable menu items. Save your time and money and visit a restaurant next door.

I frequently visit the Vendome Mall branch but this was my first time at the Msheireb branch and I was incredibly disappointed with my experience here.

First, they were unable to provide us with enough iPad menus for a party of 6 and insisted we use the QR menu despite us letting them know we don’t have mobile data and they don’t have Wi-Fi or printed menus.

Specifically we spoke to Anila to help us (I believe she is the manager) and she was very dismissive and spoke to us in a rude and condescending way which was very unacceptable and frankly unwelcoming. She consistently interrupted us and was not able to provide any practical solutions. How can she solve a problem if she refuses to hear what it is??

Second, a very large number of items on the menu were unavailable which made it difficult to order.

Third, the service was lacking and inattentive. We consistently had to ask for missing items that were forgotten from our order (i.e. no glasses for our water, no bread with our soup).

Overall, this was a very negative experience and I will not be back unless the staff are trained...
