The sky bar was a great place to host our event! After some troubles getting in touch with the organisers (they have since hired someone else for that role) we really appreciated the patience while we were figuring out the logistic of the event. Once the big day came, we were thrilled! The atmosphere was perfect, the waiters seemed very accommodating (until it got late) and everyone loved the food. The included room at the 11th floor was a very appreciated, despite the door not locking randomly and the electricity card holder falling appart.

The whole experience was only tainted by a few issues, unfortunately happening near the end: the waiters were clearly in a rush for us to leave the place at midnight instead of asking if we wanted to pay the extra hours as agreed previously (people were still having fun, we wouldn't had mind) even though we tipped a bit more than we were asked for the waiters pretended they had no containers for the leftovers (I'm glad we brought own anyway) - we hope they didn't throw away all that food we purposely ordered way too much cake (+1.5kg extra) for everyone but they cut very thin slices, which is exactly the reason for which we ordered more cake 😢

Overall, we will remember this as a great party, enjoyed by everyone (including our own staff), even convincing most of our friends to come visit Romania and...

Overall experience is very poor: I have booked a table for 12 people 5 days in advance. I get called in the same by restaurant to forcely preorder some apetisers. I did not even had time to check the menu. They called me the next day demanding apetisers preorder. Then it was weekend so they did not bother me but on monday they called again so I told them I want 4 apetisers and they told me is not enough! What?? I have kindly asked them since the begining to have the table with a view as it will be a dinner with one of my customers; when I arrived I saw the table was near the toilet and very crowded with 2 chairs where it should fit only one. For 12 people we had only one person serving and by the time we ordered until the last order arrived it seemed like ages. For instance to be able to make a welcome toast we waited for more than 15 minutes. The apetisers were not really as good as presented, the drinks are expensive and mainly ice insisde the cocktails, main course was decent, deserts not as good as presented and expected. The waiter placed on the bill 15% tips without even asking; I saw that after payment when I wanted to give the tips to him but I first looked inside the bill. The restaurant wants to be fancy but you cannot do that by rudeness. I was very disappointed about...

If you’re looking for a restaurant that pretends to be a luxury spot but offers poor bar-level service, then this is the place for you. We arrived and were seated on the terrace, beautiful view, well-maintained location. The problem started when, after a full 35 minutes of being seated, not a single waiter had come by to take our order. Since the situation wasn’t changing, I decided to go inside and politely ask if someone could take our order. We ordered two beers, and I told the waiter that I would order food after we finished the beers. Another 40 minutes passed after we received the beers, and still no one came to check if everything was okay or if we wanted to order anything else. Just as we had decided to leave, a waiter finally came over with a beer on the house to apologize, a nice gesture, but by then it was far too late, as we had already been waiting for an hour and 50 minutes for nothing. When we went to pay, no one offered any kind of apology for the inconvenience or for the terrible service. The girl at the entrance was also awful, she was sitting with her phone in her hand and was the same person who had escorted us...

Highly recommend! We had a private party on the rooftop, with about 50 people. The food was delicious and the staff in the location was incredible. A piece of the floor broke down because a chair fell and they had it replaced within 10 minutes. One of the best views in Bucharest (the main reason we chose this location). To organise the event we spoke with different persons who were nice enough to give different discounts even without asking. Florin was in charge of the event and he is a professional. Not so professional was the girl “from the offices” who we signed the contract with, because she hardly responded (via telephone call, whatsapp or email) and did not know many details about the location (is there music on the rooftop, is there the possibility to serve food on the rooftop, is there the possibility to have the event on the rooftop). However, I choose not to let her impact the rating, because she was not there on the event night and on that particular day everything went smooth. Kudos to Florin and his team (4 guys, whose names I can’t remember). Keep up the good work!

Visited Amethyst based on great reviews, so was expecting big things but didn’t quite meet my expectations. When we got there we were told we only had the table for 2 hours which kinda put the dampener on the evening. We were shown to our table which was around a corner out of the way. The table next to us was free the entire time and had a lovely view but wernt offered this table which was a shame as the view was better and the table bigger. Service - the place was pretty quiet but we waited a good 15 minutes before someone came to serve us. Food - we both went for the ribeye Uruguay, which looked great but unfortunately my partners cut was very fatty. Price - not too bad for the price, but again service lets the experience down. We were not asked how our food was. In addition service charge added to the meal, was on the receipt and wasn’t aware if this was optional. Maybe this was a one off poor experience but probably wouldn’t come back. On a positive note the views are nice at night.

Went to Amethyst for dinner, the restaurant was super nice, clean, chic. The view is lovely (if you manage to book a table on clear sky, the sunset is amazing). Our waiter, Razvan, was super polite and professional, which is beginning to be a rare thing within Bucharest restaurants. The food: 1. we got the octopus tentacles with spicy hummus - the tentacle was just perfect, it was not dried, it wasn’t chewy like a gum, the hummus in the beginning it didn’t feel spicy, but with each bite, you could feel the spiciness, loved it. 2. Stuffed calamari with baby veggies and mashed potatoes with truffles. The calamari was perfect as well, it wasn’t chewy, dry, it was just right, melting in your mouth. The mashed potatoes with truffles, we wanted to get seconds only of it, that good it was!
