*A Masterpiece in Every Bite!* In my years of indulging in sushi across many places, I thought I had tasted it all. Tonight, however, I experienced a revelation—this intimate, unassuming gem redefined my expectations and set a new standard for what I think sushi artistry is. This restaurant, with its limited seating and understated charm, offers more than just food—it delivers a narrative. Every plate is a chapter, every bite a verse in the chef’s evolving story. What unfolded tonight was not simply a meal but a performance, showcasing flavors, textures, and colors meticulously crafted with care and passion. The chef’s dedication to his craft is nothing short of extraordinary. From using only genuine ingredients, producing his own wasabi, vinegar, and sake to hand-cutting the fish and perfecting his tempura, his approach is both traditional and deeply personal. Each element of the meal reflects his journey, told with an authenticity that transcends the usual sushi experience. The menu, I learned, is ever-changing, shifting with the seasons and the chef’s inspirations, in a perfect blend of tradition and fusion influences. This dynamic approach makes each bite a unique exploration, a form of culinary poetry that flows effortlessly in this tiny, discreet space. What struck me most was the profound artistry—this is more than sushi; it’s a masterpiece created by a food biochemist-turned-chef who clearly pours his soul into every detail. The result? An exquisite symphony of flavors that left me wanting more. As I savored the final bite, I felt not only satisfied but inspired. I left the restaurant knowing that I had witnessed something truly special, and with an eager longing to return and experience more of this evolving culinary odyssey. This is not just dining—it’s an unforgettable encounter with a true artist. A wonderful surprise I can’t wait to relive.

This is my second visit to this restaurant, and I can confidently say that Chef Alexandru Gusa has truly put his heart into this place, ensuring everyone has an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is minimalist and not overly overwhelming, with soft, relaxing background music that allows you to fully enjoy the food. The dishes are outstanding; each one is prepared with great patience and attention to detail. The sushi Chef prepares is nothing short of a masterpiece. You can watch him craft the sushi at the bar using fresh ingredients, and he even interacts with guests. Be prepared to wait a bit, as great food is not fast food. From my perspective, this restaurant deserves not just one, but two Michelin stars—it’s certainly worth a detour.

I don’t even know where to begin with the superlatives. Tobiko takes everything to a whole new level. From taste, ingredients, and presentation to the atmosphere and service, every single time – without exception – it’s been perfect. The Bao Buns are out of this world, and so is every other dish. Chef Alex Gușă has masterfully fused Japanese cuisine with his passion and experience from kitchens around the globe. He’s a true artist, and I say that with no exaggeration. It’s my favorite spot to dine with family and friends, and I’m sure it’ll stay that way for a long time. Thank you, Alex, for the passion you pour into every dish that brings us so much joy. Your food is love!

I want to start by saying this place is extremely overrated. It is crowded and loud and the service was moderately bad. They don’t even give you soy sauce or chilli to put in your food. Little to no diversity in food and you can only find basic sodas. Nothing Asian. Anyway, the ramen itself was just bad. It’s stated as 860g, mine was barely 500-600g, had little to no soup and the very few that existed was purely tasteless. Again; no soy sauce to make it even slightly better. The wagyu was anything but A4, chef might want to take notes on what that means. To pay 1RON/10g in this economy is ridiculous for the quality of the final product. I expected a way better experience given the propaganda and the location in the city. Just don’t waste your time and money. There is way better places in Bucharest in the center that are WAY...
