Waiter humiliated himself for three lei.
My partner and I recently had lunch at Barrique Garden and had an unsettling experience. After receiving the bill of 361 lei, we generously left a 10% tip, which we believed was more than fair. However, to our surprise and dismay, the waiter approached us to ask for an additional 3 lei to "round up" the total to 400 lei.
This behavior was not only unprofessional but incredibly rude. It's disappointing to see staff openly negotiate for tips, especially when a decent tip has already been given. It felt like the waiter was undermining our generosity and trying to guilt us into giving more. In hindsight, we regret not rounding it up to 361 lei instead of leaving a tip at all.
This kind of conduct is unacceptable and leaves a sour taste, overshadowing what should have been a pleasant lunch experience. We hope the management addresses this issue promptly to prevent other customers from feeling the same way. We will not be returning to Barrique Garden and we urge others to be wary of this...
Read moreGreat location, great food & wines. Amazing staff, impeccable service. We had a baptism party of 25 guests, including 7 children aged 2 to 8, staying & partying at Barrique over the weekend. Catalin, Lucian and their team managed all the challenges that this kind of event brings while barely breaking a sweat. Plus, they are really nice people and a pleasure to work with. Everybody in our party had an amazing time every day. The location is very good for groups with children - there’s a lot of space for them to run around safely and there’s even a play house with a slide on the outside terrace which was a hit. Barrique really stands out as a great place to celebrate an event. Thanks & we are sure to come back when we...

We had an amazing Tamaioasa Romanesca demisec and a Rosé which had a strong taste of raspberries. We were able to find the Tamaioasa Romanesca after intense searching so that we can reminisce about our Romania trip, but sadly we can not find the Rosé.
We would very much appreciate to know the brand (we think it was a Cotnari Bohotin (Buduresca or Busuioaca) that was also a demisec (not sweet). It would be amazing to get to know the exact brand and...
