Here is my story at this location I am visiting Saudi fROM USA with my family we bought 2 times dates this visit for family and friends over 1000 SARCin 3 days
Tonight at 1045 pm I went with. Family to buy more dates with pecans and stuffed with nuts as well as biscuits total bill was about 300 sar
My son a small child by accident broke the seal paper on one of the spices cardamon. علبة هيل صغيرة
It was an accident and I apologised for the doing of a small child
The manager in the phone insisted to the clerk that I pay the 35 riyals for my son mistake
I asked to talk to the manager in person so he was on the phone and told me my son made mistake and if I have good morals I should pay for it
I told him I apologised for the accident and I am already paying 300 SAR for the product I want Don’t make me pay for the product I don’t need it was an accident
He raised his voice and insisted that I pay for it and I don’t know how to raise my kids or keep them in control
I told him I am a guest in this country Saudi Arabia And I am buying the most expensive dates in KSA from the best company and this is how you treat your customers customer care
He said in Arabic لا تكلمني إنكليزي انت عربي سوري وادفع غصب من عنك إذا فيك ضمير
So he said I don’t have a good conscience and shouldn’t speak in English even though I am United States citizen and in love with Saudi Arabia and the culture and I must pay for my son opening the jar by accident just barely breaking the paper seal
I told him if you make pay for this I won’t buy the other stuff and you will loose a customer for life

I FEAL ASHAMMED TO HAVE THIS treatment in the land of generosity Saudi Arabia I will file a official complaint with ministry of tourism
I paid for the broken jar but I did not take anything else from Bateel and I will never go back again to your establishments

The Date trilogy is their signature desert and it taste good! It contain Sukri date and khlas date and the other one was coffee 10/10. The sticky toffee pudding tastes so heavenly; l have never tasted anything like it before l 100% recommend! 20/10 The roasted pumpkin soup is a must to try if you’re a soup lover! 10/10. The Quattro formaggi ravioli is honestly so good! And you can taste the aged paramigiano reggiano cheese! The atmosphere is so comfortable and so relaxing.
