Ice Bistro — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

The food here is really amazing and the service is decent. We tried this place the first day we arrived to Belgrade. We tried other restaurants, and decided to come here as the best food quality has been from this place. I was also going to recommend this place in my YouTube channel as a must do. However, we felt very uncomfortable in our last visit. We asked for 2 espresso martinis. The server said he will bring it. They brought us something COMPLETELY different which was actually very bad — I’m not high maintenance so I would have drank it if it was decent. But the taste was terrible. Not only that but the price of the drink was higher than the average price for an espresso martini since they charged for the espressos and then for martini separate. After we said we didn’t like it, our server did not try to make the situation better, although he openly admitted that what he brought us is NOT an espresso martini and that they don’t have the right liquors to make it. He still charged us the drinks. We went to the bar to explain this is not the drink we asked for and requested to kindly change it for 2 espressos with baileys or just espressos since the other drinks are very bad and NOT what we asked for. They said we have to pay for those If we want it. I explained that it’s very strange for me that they cannot change the drinks considering THEY made a mistake. And that maybe there’s a cultural difference because in America they would do this simple improvement, especially if the restaurant made a mistake. I guess they didn’t like the comparison and said “sorry that’s how we do it here” (with a very “I don’t care” demeanor). I felt very uncomfortable with the service and said I won’t come back due to bad service. This could have been so simple to manage but they preferred to be rude and not accommodating. we eat outside almost daily, so we were going to be potential regulars. Besides we love to recommend good places as we are travelers and we review restaurants in trip advisor and YouTube. My cousin is a diplomat in the Spain embassy in Serbia and is constantly looking for good restaurants to bring other diplomats from the embassy. But unfortunately I cannot recommend to him a place that lacks customer service since it’s so important to this type...

Ovo mesto nalazi se u strogom centru grada. Nudi dobar izbor pića, ali i hrane. Imajući u vidu da je smešten tik iza Narodne skupštine dosta često se među gostima mogu videti i neki narodni poslanici. Mesto je omiljeno među starijom beogradskom ekipom i puno poslovnih ljudi tu svraća na kafu. Mesto nije posebno inspirativno za neka duža zadržavanja i ne poseduje nikakvu jaku prepoznatljivost. Usluga je dobra, a cene nešto malo više u odnosu na slične tipove lokala. Enterijer je pristojan, a bašta relativno konforna i smeštena tik uz ulicu. U ulici u kojoj se nalazi ovaj bar postoji još 6 kafea i svaki je bolji od ovog. Mada, ako se i za ovaj lokal odlučite nećete izaći baš totalno razočarani. Nemojte naručivati hranu jer postoji puno boljih mesta u kojima možete jesti, a koji se nalaze u blizini...

It was better before, more relaxed and famous for ice coffee. Now it is more fancy, with food (steaks and stuff) and strong prices, while still called Ice Cafe. The coffee was watery and the milk served separately. Dunno, but i know it is not the same...
