Savanova — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

Amazing view. Modern design. There are books inside, but the atmosphere is not very appropriate fir a quiet reading. Pet friendly. Good for families, groups of friends, business partners or individual visits. Children friendly. There is a part outside that looks like abplayground. A large list of alcoholic drinks and cocktails. Good selection of coffee. Reasonable prices of coffee and coffee specialties. Good macchiato. Good choice of home-made ice tea. Prices of non-alcoholic drinks are similar to anywhere else in Belgrade, some things are cheaper, some more exlensive. Live music in the evening. Jazz on Tuesdays. The first thing that a visitor can find on the table is the "Passport of the Savanova Republic", a very original idea of presenting their program, to highlight parts of menu, entertainment, drinks and other activities. International cousine and international music. Savanova omlette costs 380 dinars, which is more expensive than an omlette at many other cafes. The price of soups is of 240 dinars, which is affordable. I haven't tried the food, so I cannot say anything about its quality. I have seen people having lunch thete and they seemed to enjoy it. The music was very loud at 2 P.M. This is something I don't like at any cafe. It can get crowded in the afternoon. Three scoops of ice cream cost 195 dinars, which means that one scoop costs 65 dinars. That is very cheap in comparison to many other places in Belgrade. The ice cream is hand-made and tasty. You can choose among the flavors of chocolate, vanilla, lemon and seasonal fruit. In summer, there is the possibility of cherry or watermelon. The flavors are quite good and the combination of chocolate, vanilla and cherry is great. Other food is really overpriced for an average inhabitant of Belgrade. There is a good choice of pancakes and desserts, though also more expensive than in many other places beside the river. It is possible to pay with card or in cash. The service is very slow. The waiters seem not to be interested in attending you. The interior is very artistic. Confortable chairs inside as well as in the outdoor part. Smoking is allowed. Restrooms are designed in a modern style, clean. I haven't seen a specific restroom with a wheelchair access. You can make a reservation, although it is not mandatory. Nice place to stay with its pros...

Usluga i klopa katastrofa. Konobar nepismen (Sale), ne zna kako biftek moze da bude pecen, uzasno neprijatan lik koji se svadja sa gostima - rekao je da mu pravimo problem sto smo sami krenuli da sklanjamo tanjire posle dva sata... Iskorisceni tanjiri za meze su stajali na stolu do kraja veceri, pa je na stolu celo vece bio totalni haos. Ni jednom nije dosao da pita da li je klopa ok. Ramstek je bio lose ispecen (res pecen) i nije mogao da se jede. Tako je bilo za 4 gosta od ukupno 6 koliko nas je narucilo ramstek. Sve u svemu, u zivotu vise necu otici tamo i ne preporucujem ikome da ide. Ako ste dosli na kafu i limunadu, samo napred. Za sve ostalo - izaberite neki drugi restoran. Service and food were disaster. The waiter is illiterate (Sale), he does not know how the beefsteak can be prepared (baked), unpleasant guy who was arguing with the guests - he said that we are "creating a problem" because we were moving dirty plates after two hours of sitting there on the table ... The used plates of the appetizers were sitting on the table until the end of the evening, so the whole evening was a chaos. He never came to ask if the food was ok. Ramstek was incorrectly prepared (beyond well done) and couldn't be eaten. That's how it was for 4 guests out of 6 who ordered steaks. I will never go back to this restaurant, and I do not recommend anyone to visit it. If you come for a coffee and a lemonade, just go ahead. For everything else - choose...

Worst place ever. I would say worst service, but which service would I be talking about, cOs we never got any service.!!! NONE WHATSOEVER !!!

3 of us went in, sat by a table we could find outside. Which was dirty, not wiped down, still had glasses and cups from other people. There were several tables like that. Just dirty. We waited for a waiter for the longest time. Nobody came. At some point one of my friends made eye contact with one of the waiters and called him he just nodded and made a thumbs up then disappeared. He never came to our table. Nobody came.

We noticed another couple waited a while to pay, they ended up going inside to pay and left because the waiters just never came out. Another couple came and sat just behind us. 5minutes later a waiter went to their table. At that point we decided leave because we were clearly not going to get any assistance. And it wasn’t worth our money. We literally sat there for a good 20 minutes if not more. Waiting!

That’s just awful! Never again. Lucky for those who had...
