The outlet visited: Jem
Had my first worst experience at this outlet for the first time! Previously went to the outlet at JB and had no issue. We went to the Jem outlet during dinner peak hour and was surprised to see the outlet was almost empty. I guess it was a warning sign but I failed to see that.
The mac & cheese was served cold, the muffin wasn't baked properly or not fresh at all (got sandy texture inside), onion rings were not edible as it was overcooked (also served cold) and the mash potato was spoilt! I thought it was just my taste buds that didn't agree with the mash potato but my partner confirmed it that it had gone bad just by smelling it...
My partner requested one of the waitress to pack her leftover cause she couldn't finish it and the waitress came back with a plastic container expecting us to pack it on our own. I'm ok with packing the food by myself but why do I have to fork out the 10% service fee if that was the case???
Employees at that outlet were not helpful at all. We had issue ordering the food using the phone in the beginning but none of them could explained it to us what was the issue. Instead they just ask us to order at the counter.
Thank you for reading the long review. But I highly recommend anyone out there not to visit this outlet until there's improvement in their staff and the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Kenny Rogers Roasters Singapore located at the Jems outlet on the 25th of June 2023. My fiancé and I visited for dinner, and I must say, our experience was nothing short of delightful.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately struck by the nice ambiance, which evoked a charming American atmosphere. It felt like we were transported back to the United States.
During our visit, we were greeted warmly by a friendly and attentive senior staff. Overall, their staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. When I requested refills for some of their delicious sauces. Instead of simply refilling the sauce dish, they surprised me by providing a brand new one. This attention to detail and small steps of proactive approach to service truly impressed me.
Moving on to the food, we ordered the fish and chips along with their classic hamburger meal. The fish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, accompanying with their home-made special F&C sauce. The classic hamburger was juicy, flavorful, and a true comfort food experience. Both dishes left us feeling incredibly satisfied and content.
Thank you, Kenny Rogers Roasters Singapore, for the wonderful time and the fantastic food. We look forward to returning in the...
Read moreI remember my first time at Kenny Rogers Great World City back in the 90s. Although I don't frequent it, I remember the muffin which was something we didn't get at most places. Fast forward to 2018, when we came across it in Jem. A quick search on the net informed us that the chain had pulled out of America, but was still operating in Asia. Since then, I have visited the place a few times. Personally, I feel that the roast chicken is not bad, quite tasty, and the thigh drumstick is quite tender. While the portions may have shrunk over the years, a half chicken plate can still fill you up if you're really hungry. Otherwise the quarter chicken is good, not too gelat. This time, I tried the quarter with spaghetti Bolognese. The spaghetti was quite good, the sauce was nice. The muffin is still great, and the texture feels more like a cake, which I kinda enjoy. The mushroom soup is decent, about the same as most places. All in all, it was a good and satisfying meal. The staff is polite and friendly, and their efficiency made my dining experience all the better. Visit during off peak hours as it can get pretty packed with a...
