This is my go-to place with my family whenever we have no idea what to eat. In fact, we visit this place almost every weekendโmainly because parking is so convenient compared to the hassle of parking at JEM or Westgate (though youโd have to walk quite a bit to reach those malls).
The food standard here can be inconsistent. Some days, the hor fun is exceptional, packed with wok hei, while other days, it tastes bland. I suspect this depends on how busy the place isโmore customers = hotter wok = better wok hei.
The most consistent dish for me is the prawn paste chicken. Itโs always flavorful, crispy, and satisfyingโperfect for my fried chicken cravings. In fact, I once ate 8 pieces in one goโฆ and now Iโm suffering from a sore throat (totally worth it, though).
The fish soup is decent. The restaurant is known for its hotpot with charcoal fish soup, but Iโd say itโs just alright. The main highlight is the fish itself, which is always fresh.
Sweet and Sour Pork โ Needs work. The pork was coated with thick batter, so I couldnโt taste much actual meat. The sauce also wasnโt sour enough for my liking.
Vegetables โ Some days theyโre too watery, some days they lack flavorโagain, it depends on the day.
Even though the food can be hit-or-miss, Iโll still visit all the time simply because of how convenient it is. Sometimes, convenience wins...

That said, the food was served quickly and tasted delicious, living up to expectations. However, the restaurant seemed understaffed, especially for a busy weekend night. When we requested table clearing, the staff were overwhelmed, and we eventually had to do it ourselves. It was evident that they were stretched thin, leading to some frustration.
Overall, while the food was great, the lack of staff affected the dining experience. Management should consider increasing manpower during peak hours and special occasions to ensure...
