TSUI WAH was one of our favorite and must visit restaurants when we travel to HongKong. When I first visit TSUI WAH restaurant orchard branch, somehow the foods was not up to the HongKong standards, and especially the portions is much smaller then expected.
After a year+, I have a chance to try TSUI WAH again at Jem branch. Wow! quality, quantity and service standards improved a lots or at least very different from what I first experienced.
We decided to try some of the top 10 popular dishes. Yes. It is really a good selection. Foods was delicious and flavourful.
Firstly, the baked fried rice with pork chop in tomato puree. Very delicious baked cheese layer on top of the thick pork chop and flavourful tomato puree. Everyone of us loved it so much.
Next, the spiced pork chop with green onions and eggs fried rice. Pork chop was great, real thickness, juicy, flavourful with tenderness. Eggs fried rice was good, but just need an additional egg will be ideal and more fragrance.
Last main dish, we order something out of the top 10 list, the Braised Pork-ribs with dry instant noodle. Braised Pork-ribs was soft, tender and flavourful. Great match with instant noodle. A comfort food that we loved.
Sinful dessert liked crispy bun with condensed milk and Macha ice cream was indeed a very satisfying ending.
Overall, we are really satisfied and enjoy the lunch. Hope to have better promotion in the future and we will definitely visit more often.

Read moreVisited on Saturday 2ish, saw a short queue of 4 groups in front of the restaurant and restaurant was packed. The wait was quite long honestly, waited around 35/40 mins just to get in.
While waiting, multiple groups of customers were leaving the restaurant one after the other but you can tell they were heavily understaffed. Quite a few tables were left uncleared for 25mins, and there was a queue forming at the cashier side to pay. So basically both customers exiting and entering the restaurant were left waiting for an extended time.
Wanted to order more items but most were sold out so just order milk tea, condensed milk bread and egg tart to try.
The hot milk tea is pretty average, mild milk tea flavour and it came quite lukewarm so the pack of sugar given had a hard time melting within the beverage. The iced milk tea tasted better in my opinion, more milky flavour and the sweetness was more balanced.
Condensed milk bun is had a crusty external and soft internal buttery fluffy bun. Covered in a layer of delightful sweet condensed milk, the bun is pretty good.
Egg tart was pretty normal, the standard flaky egg tart type. Nothing much to shout about.
Hope that they hire more staff (at least on the weekends) since the queue is kind of artificially created due to the slow turnaround...

The sauce is fragrant and incredibly delicious. Totally a taste bud opener and you can get so addicted to this ribs!! Personally I would eat them very often if only they weren't for a limited time only. The potion is so huge that is good for 2-3 people. Tsui Wah Signature Pork Chop Bun Tender piece of pork chop sandwiched in a crusty bun with zesty homemade gravy and crisp lettuce. Essentially it may be considered a rather simple dish, but it was so good and enjoyable
BBQ Pork Scramble Egg Fried Rice Delicious fragrant fried rice, blanket by soft creamy fluffy scrambled eggs and topped off with aromatic jcuicy smoky bbq pork with caramelised sweet sauce. This is truly a comfort food
