Skt. Peders Bageri, the oldest bakery in town, is a must-visit in Copenhagen for anyone seeking a genuine, flavourful bakery experience that captures the essence of Danish craftsmanship. The moment you approach the bakery, the mouthwatering aroma of fresh baked bread and pastries invites you in. The pastries are beautifully displayed, with their flaky layers and generous fillings tempting you from behind the glass window.

Their cinnamon rolls topped with crunchy sugar crystals are spectacular, with a perfect balance of cinnamon and sugary flavours that are not too sweet, allowing the soft, airy bread to shine. The pastries, especially the classic Danish ones, are to die for—flaky, delicate, and just the right amount of sweetness and toppings. The exceptional quality of their baked goods, combined with their fair prices, truly sets this bakery apart. It’s no wonder this place has always a line out the door, even early in the morning right after they open.

Inside, the space is a little bit small, with limited seating, but the cozy rustic interior atmosphere only adds to the charm. The staff is exceptionally warm and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. Coffee is also served in this bakery making it a perfect spot for a quick bite.

While the size of the bakery may be a slight drawback, the quality of the pastries more than makes up for it. It lives up to its reputation as the oldest bakery in town with delicious beautifully crafted fresh baked good , offering a taste of Denmark's heart and...

This place's food is great! I will leave a detailed explanation of how I rate everything I had here. (It's a lot)

The Almond Croissant is amazing! The filling of the almond cream with the fresh and crisp bread makes it very nice. The Custard Danish is really good! The custard is much tastier than what I have had before. You should definitely come here because I couldn't find a Danish anywhere in Denmark! (I thought other places would have it) The Almond Danish with Poppyseeds is to die for! Like an almond croissant, it has a very nice filling, but the Poppyseeds makes it so unique compared to what I've seen before. There were two different types of Cinnamon rolls, both of which were amazing! I couldn't find the difference other than the shape, but the icing is less sweet which I think makes it better. The cinnamon flavor comes in and is measured perfectly! The Cardamom Danish is very popular in this place! When I tried it however, I felt that the taste was too strong for my liking. The Pistachio Danish was pretty good. I didn't enjoy the nutty flavor after having a bunch of other pastries, but it was good anyways. The plain Croissant is really nice! It's a good break from all of the sweet pastries and is freshly baked.

The service was really kind and quickly gave us the pastries. The price is reasonable compared to most places in Denmark. The atmosphere felt really nice in the building. Being the oldest bakery in Copenhagen, it's very popular! You definitely...

During my recent trip to Copenhagen, I had the pleasure of discovering the charming gem that is Skt. Peders Bageri, the city's oldest bakery. Let me tell you, this place is an absolute delight for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Danish pastries and treats.

Walking into Skt. Peders Bageri felt like stepping back in time. The traditional atmosphere and the aroma of freshly baked goods instantly transported me to a bygone era. And speaking of the baked goods – they were beyond amazing! From the flaky layers of their croissants to the sweet, warm embrace of their cinnamon rolls, each bite was a heavenly experience.

What truly sets this bakery apart is its commitment to preserving age-old recipes and baking techniques. Every pastry seemed to tell a story of craftsmanship and dedication. It's rare to find a place that so successfully balances tradition with taste.

The staff at Skt. Peders Bageri were incredibly warm and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the place. They were more than happy to recommend their specialties and share a bit of the bakery's history.

If you're in Copenhagen and seeking an unforgettable bakery experience, Skt. Peders Bageri is an absolute must-visit. Prepare to be transported through time with their delectable creations that capture the essence of Danish baking heritage. Your taste buds will thank you for this...

My favourite local spot, just around the corner from where I live, and sadly now ruined by TikTok fame and endless queues of tourists creating chaos. Sometimes I just want to pop in and enjoy my favourite pastries (which, by the way, are hands down the best in Copenhagen, waaaay better than Juno, and still cheaper than most bakeries here), without having to rearrange my entire day to avoid the tourist wave and empty shelves because they simply sell out before you manage to get there. It’s family-owned, which I really respect, especially in Copenhagen’s cutthroat oversaturated bakery scene. But honestly, they could help themselves by putting up signs with names and descriptions of what is what, because the poor staff are stuck answering 100 questions a day from people who seem like they’ve never seen a pastry before. It’s very much a takeaway place, not a cafe.. only three awkward IKEA tables crammed in the middle of the room. If you’re lucky enough to get a seat, expect to be stared down by a pack of hungry tourists while you try to enjoy your cardamom bun. And don’t bother with the coffee, it’s not good and very overpriced here. Come for the pastries and if you can only get 1-2 things, let it be cardamom buns and cinnamon rolls with icing (they are spectacular), but manage your expectations on the rest.
