Mediocre food, bored stuff but gorgeous venue.
Came here for my birthday dinner and the first thing that struck me was the humid warm air in the restaurant. And the sluggishness of the air was really reflected in the behavior of the stuff. There was no one to greet us, we waited for like 3 mins till anyone came and noticed us. (The restaurant was almost empty BTW) Then we were greeted very coldly, not even a smile or anything. I really felt like it's an annoyance for them to even serve food to us.
For drinks I ordered mango lemonade. For the price of almost 4 EUR I was expecting a delicious lemonade full of flavor. What I got was a very watered down yellow water that had a super subtle taste of mango. I would rather get plain water next time...
Then I followed with a tomato soup, which I normally love. And it really looked promising, it was thick and made from tomatoes not just tomato puree. But the taste was lacking some flavoring. It was bland. It needed a touch more sugar and some deeper flavour. Maybe baking some of the tomatoes or getting a really good Italian variety would help. This tasted almost like salted and warm chopped tomatoes in juice. For tomato soup in BB I would recommend "After" any time of the week!
Then for the main I got the vegan pizza. That was actually the reason I wanted to go here since this is the only place in the city that doesn't just do marinara for vegans. So I really applaud that!! And there is nothing inherently bad about the pizza it is just that we have better in this city and again I must say "After" is where it's at if you are accustomed to fluffy Neapolitan style pizza where the crust is actually the best part of the pizza.
Overall, I'm sad to say that this was probably my first and last visit of this restaurant. Which I'm super sad about as the architecture of this place is simply stunning! Really heads off to...
Read moreWe were recommended that this was a perfect restaurant with Italian food. We were disappointed by the small selection of pasta, but in the end we chose carbonara, which shows the quality of the chef ... and it showed. The pasta was broken and overcooked, the sauce was bitter and very bland, the Guanciale, if it was actually Guanciale, tasted like poorly fried greaves from a village slaughterhouse ... thank you, but this restaurant is far from Italian, at least when it comes to pasta. The people around us who had pizza were also not satisfied, the pizza was extremely burnt. We were looking forward to quality Italian cuisine, but we left...
Read moreThis place is just great! Big enough for meeting of the families and having pizza time with little children or just quiet meeting of 2 friends or a bigger group. Anybody can find here very tasty and interesting pizza by you choice when you can choose 3 ingredients you like mostly. Lemonades and coffee of more choices than at other places. And I have never drunk better ice coffee. The pizza man is very nice and friendly and he showed me his oven and special machine for cutting the meat. I felt great at this place and might...
