Reštaurácia u Richtára — Restaurant in Banská Bystrica

Pretty good beer, food didn’t taste that great and service was poor. I think they might have changed staff there. We seated ourselves and waitress gave us a menu card. We waited about 15 minutes and nobody showed up back at our table. The restaurant was not busy at all. They had maybe 4 other tables at the entire place to serve. So after nobody came one of us got up and went to the front to order our drinks. During our dinner nobody came to check how we were doing or asked how our food was tasting. The only times when they stopped at our table was when we had empty glasses sitting for few minutes so yes at that time they asked if we would like to get another beer. Too bad because the place is pretty nice and clean and the beer is still good there. It is a bit overpriced, it’s more expensive than any place on Vaclav Square in Prague but over there at least the service is excellent most of the time. So I am not sure if I recommend this place with the current setup...

Totally unclear why this place has such positive reviews. Our food was mediocre at its best and indigestible for a large part. We would have told the staff but they did not care to ask whether the food was ok. The details: We (party of four) had the duck which was ok; two times the trout - one of which was mediocre, one was only partly edible; chicken which again was ok; and boiled potatoes as a side dish which were the worst we've had...

95% Helpful and fast service. The environment is pleasant with a nice view of the square. The meal was brought at once. Prices correspond to the city center. The food was tasty and of reasonable quality without ambition for a Michelin star;-) In short, a relaxed family lunch during a stop in Banska Bystrica in a pleasant...
