Bubbles Restaurant — Restaurant in Bratislava

We came to try this restaurant for the first time yesterday. I must admit, the first impression was far from what we expected. We entered the restaurant and immediately saw there is some sort of a private event (I believe a christening brunch - at 18.30). We were standing and waiting at the bar for quite some time to get our reserved table, people from the private event group were standing at the bar and the waitress behind seemed quite annoyed. Honestly, no wonder the group was loud and seemed fairly arrogant, acting like the place belonged to them. This really did not add on a positive experience. After a longer while, a waitress approched us and took us to our table. She quite saved the whole experience - can not actually say anything bad, she was friendly, polite and gave recommendations, all the time asking if we miss something or if everything is alright. Her English was very good, which is, unfortunately, still pretty rare in Slovak gastronomy and hospitality. Nevertheless, first 30-40 minutes, there was no music, so the only thing we listened to was a loud group from the private event, playing videos on phone, their kids screaming and running around (which is understandable as I expect they were in the restaurant for quite a long time, we are parents ourselves), on top of that some of them were constantly leaving for the terrace to smoke, leaving the door open (it was quite cold outside). After the group finally left, there was a music put on which definitely brought much nicer vibe and I think customers appreciated it too. The food was very delicious although I was not a big fan of the Bubbles soup that seemed way too ‘fishy’ for me but that’s a matter if preference. The steak and papardelle with beer meat was exquisite😊 Overall, the experience improved significantly after the private group left, ai guess we were just unlucky. The design and view from the restaurant is very pretty.

We started with two exceptional appetizers — the tuna ceviche, which was light and refreshing, and the beef tartare, rich in flavor and beautifully presented. For the main course, we enjoyed: • 🍝 Linguine with shrimp – cooked to perfection, full of fresh Mediterranean taste • 🍝 Linguine with truffles – creamy, elegant, and without a doubt one of the best pasta dishes in Bratislava.

For dessert, we had the White Poppy, a delicately crafted sweet finish that was both refined and indulgent. Each course felt elevated and thoughtfully prepared.

To drink, we tried a classic margarita and a Negroni, both perfectly balanced and ideal for enjoying during golden hour on the terrace.

The staff were professional and welcoming, the ambiance luxurious yet relaxed, and the entire evening felt like a special occasion. The panoramic view of Bratislava, especially at sunset, made the whole experience truly memorable.

Dokonalý zážitok na Dunaji – reštaurácia Bubbles Bratislava 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Na mieste, kde sa Bratislava stretáva s pokojom rieky a krása s chuťou, sa nachádza Bubbles – reštaurácia na pontóne, ktorá nie je len miestom na obed, ale zážitkom pre všetky zmysly.

Už pri príchode nás očaril interiér – moderný, čistý, s detailmi, ktoré pôsobia sofistikovane, no zároveň útulne. Sklenené steny prepúšťajú svetlo a výhľady, drevené prvky a kovová elegancia sa tu snúbia s atmosférou riečnej pohody. Je to miesto, kde sa chcete zhlboka nadýchnuť a dať svetu na chvíľu pauzu.

Usadili nás na terase, kde pred nami ležal výhľad ako z maľby – Bratislavský hrad v celej svojej majestátnosti, obloha sa zrkadlila v Dunaji a jemný vánok vytváral pocit luxusného úniku z mesta.

Postaral sa o nás čašník Michal – a dovolím si povedať, že bol jedným z najlepších, akých sme kedy zažili. Bol milý, zdvorilý, pozorný bez dotieravosti. Detailne poznal jedálny lístok a s ľahkosťou nám pomohol vybrať si to najlepšie. Keď zbadal, že slnko praží, neváhal nám pripraviť nový stolík v tieni – bez toho, aby sme museli čokoľvek povedať. Takýto servis sa dnes už len tak nevidí.

Začali sme drinkami – objednali sme si Cosmopolitan. Bol dokonale vyvážený – svieži, chladivý, s jemným citrusovým dozvukom, servírovaný v elegantnom pohári, ktorý akoby čakal len na nedeľné popoludnie pri vode.

Ako predjedlo som si vybrala tatarák – a bol jednoducho fantastický. Jemne nasekané mäso, perfektne ochutené, s kvalitným chlebíkom opečeným do zlatista. Chuť bola bohatá, vrstvená, no zároveň čistá – presne taká, akú by ste od prémiového tataráku čakali.

Hlavné jedlo bolo ukážkou toho, čo vznikne, keď sa kuchár stane umelcom. Na tanier nám pristála pražma, ktorá bola pripravená s absolútnou precíznosťou – koža dozlata chrumkavá, mäso vláčne a čerstvé, presne také, aké má byť, keď ho pripravuje niekto, kto svoje remeslo miluje. Doplnená o hladké tekvicové pyré, ktoré malo nielen výraznú farbu, ale aj jemne sladkastú, teplú chuť. Kokosová emulzia bola ako nežný obláčik – prekvapivý, exotický prvok, ktorý jedlu dodal ľahkosť a sofistikovanosť. Celá kompozícia taniera bola ako obraz – symetrická, vkusná, premyslená. Každý prvok mal svoje miesto, nič nebolo navyše a všetko spolu dokonale ladilo. A to si zaslúži obrovské uznanie.

Týmto posielam veľkú pochvalu do kuchyne – človek, ktorý túto pražmu vytvoril, má nielen výnimočný cit pre chuť, ale aj umenie rozprávať príbeh cez jedlo.

A keď sme si mysleli, že už to lepšie nebude – prišli dezerty. Eclair – nadýchaný, s lahodným krémom, ľahučký ako vánok, na pistáciovom korpuse, zdobený malinami z malinového pyré, ktoré do celej sladkej kompozície priniesli osviežujúcu kyselkavosť. Perfektný záver, ktorý bol vizuálne aj chuťovo na úrovni francúzskej cukrárne.

Dezert z bieleho maku bol ako spomienka na detstvo, ale v dospelej, luxusnej podobe. Jemný, s nádychom originality a vizuálnou eleganciou. Makový základ sa snúbil s nugátom, ktorý dodával hĺbku a chuť rozjasňovali čučoriedky – svieže, šťavnaté, plné leta. Vrstvenie chutí doplnil čips z lieskovcov, ktorý dotvoril jemnú zemitosť a chrumkavý kontrast. Bola to moderná interpretácia tradičných surovín – a fungovala výborne.

Ako milé prekvapenie nám reštaurácia venovala pohár prosecca – gesto, ktoré hovorí: vážime si vás. A my sme si to naozaj všimli.

Bubbles nie je len o jedle. Je to o emócii. O pocite, že sa o vás niekto skutočne postará. O tom, že v Bratislave existuje miesto, kde je všetko presne tak, ako má byť – krásne, chutné, premyslené.
