The front desk staff were particularly welcoming and helpful on arrival. We were kindly given both early check-in and late check-out in view of my Radisson VIP status.||The location of this hotel could not be better, overlooking Hviezdoslavovo námestie. It's as close to the old town as possible without being inside it.||We were upgraded to a theatre view suite because of my VIP status in Radisson Rewards, despite the hotel being full because of the Mirror Hospitality Expo 2025 event being hosted inside the hotel. It was an unexpected event to enjoy during our stay - particularly to try new flavours of Becherovka, one of my favourite drinks.||The suite was fantastic and very spacious, and we wished we had stayed for more than one night. The hotel gave us a welcome gift of a bottle of Nichta Slovak rosé sparkling wine, which we really enjoyed drinking in our suite.||The sleep quality was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. Although we could sometimes hear the faint rumble of trams, it didn't disturb us, and it was more a welcome reminder of our perfectly central location.||My only criticism of the design of the bedroom was the lack of accessible power sockets each side of the bed. The only bedside power sockets are very low behind the bedside cabinets, which need to be moved in order to access them. This could be solved by installing USB-C sockets each side of the bed for charging smartphones and smartwatches.||Flannels were not provided as standard, even in a suite, but were helpfully supplied upon request.||The internet is only around 10Mbps, which is very slow for a European capital city, but at least there was no annoying sign-in process. I was particularly impressed by the software in the television. It was very easy to display all channels of a particular language or type (e.g. news), and BBC World was one of them.||Breakfast was excellent. We found everything we wanted and more. I particularly liked the uniquely shaped Korbáčik cheese. Service was very attentive and friendly.||During our stay, we had the impression that the hotel was 5, and we were surprised to read afterwards that...
Read moreOur overall stay at the hotel was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our New Year’s break. The hotel’s proximity to local amenities was excellent, and both the size of the room and the views from it were brilliant.
Breakfast and the spa services were absolutely spot-on, this was one of the nicest spas among the Radisson group hotels we have visited.
From my personal perspective, I did not feel sufficiently recognised as a VIP member, and the value received fell below expectations.
The hotel has great potential, especially with its historic setting, but I feel the staff, including the room servicing, could strive a bit harder to make guests feel more comfortable. The furnishings in the room felt tired and were in desperate need of a makeover, though the older elements of the furniture added a memorable charm to our stay.
That said, a few staff members went above and beyond, making up for the areas where service fell short and genuinely owning the feedback we shared: Natalia from the front desk – Natalia understood our needs, listened to our feedback, and, most importantly, acknowledged it. She went a step further by ensuring our evening reservation at the Mirror Bar was well taken care of. She is an excellent example of a staff member who truly understands and serves guests according to their needs. Peter from fitness services – Peter was exceptional. He was extremely polite, clear with his instructions, and highly professional. His outstanding service significantly enhanced our spa experience, and we wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much without his assistance. Nicos from the front desk – Nicos was also polite and helped us with a seamless check-in, allocating a room according to our preference, making a positive first impression.
The Mirror Bar was satisfactory. While the history of the bar is commendable and the drinks were lovely for the price, the staff’s service was inconsistent and could have been more professional to match the overall setting.
Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with great potential to attract...

What an amazing hotel! It’s very beautiful and rooms are great. The location is just brilliant - one of the Christmas Markets just outside and the other one in the main square is under 3 mins walk. Lots of restaurants nearby and you can walk to Bratislava Castle in less than 20 mins.
Secondly, the staff are just some of the friendliest, helpful and most professional I’ve experienced (and very humbly, I can say I’ve travelled a lot). Though, I’m new to Radisson Rewards club, we got a free upgrade for our 1 night Sunday stay (very short trip). Despite the hotel being full for a conference on Monday, they helped us out with free late check-out. We forgot our food items in the room fridge but they got that by themselves and placed it with our luggage. The staff really make a genuine effort to help.
Thirdly, The Mirror Bar in the hotel is truly amazing. The service is incredible, the decor is superb but the cocktails are simply unbelievable - so imaginative & delicious. See attached pics. It was so good, we had drinks the first night and before catching our late flight the second night even though we had checked out.
My only regret is staying for only 1 night and not having time to try out the hotel restaurant and other facilities. Highly recommended!!! Many thanks for the hotel team for making our short stay...
