Picture this: family, friends, and yours truly, all gathered at this local hotspot that’s apparently the place to be if you’re from Bratislava. One of our crew? Total local. Like, knows-the-secret-handshake local. So naturally, we trust them to lead us to the promised land of food and beer. So what do I get? Chicken and baked potatoes. And let me tell you, it was like a symphony in my mouth, except the chicken was a little oily. But it still tasted great, so I’m not here to whine (much). Oh, and there’s a salad because apparently we’re pretending to be healthy for five minutes. Here’s the kicker: the potatoes? Cold. But did I let that stop me? Nope. I’ve got macros to hit, muscles to maintain, and a reputation to uphold. Is this a Michelin-star joint? Nope. But you know what? I didn’t need my dinner served with a side of pretension. I still had a blast, the price didn’t make me cry, and hey – free lavatory for customers! Can’t go wrong there. The staff? Friendly, accommodating, and they didn’t even flinch at my unique sense of humor 😅🤭 So, bottom line: cold potatoes and all, I left happy. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I bring a portable heater for the potatoes next time? Maybe 😏🌡️

I recently visited a Slovak restaurant with high expectations but, unfortunately, the experience was not so good. The dishes we tried lacked the robust flavors we were hoping for, leaving much to be desired in terms of taste. Additionally, compared to other local restaurants, the kitchen was slower, resulting in a longer wait time for our meal. Overall, it was a not bad lunch experience, but I hope the restaurant can improve both the quality of their dishes and the speed of service in the future.

První návštěva někdy loni pecka, od té doby stále klesající tendence. Předposlední návštěva minulý týden...pomalý servis, místy až nepříjemný, nepozorný (jakože sedíte na suchu, protože to se normálně v hospodě stává). Vaše jídlo odnesou k jinému stolu, kde si ho ale překvapivě nikdo neobjednal, protože na place chaos, všichni dělají všechno. Jedna ze slečen na servise je teda skoro na průplesk, jako fakt se nehlásí před ostatními hosty, jak jsou jiní hosté hrozní, co se stalo u stolu, jak je to hrozná práce apod. Zjevně ji to moc nebavilo. Včera teda vrchol, který doplňují fotky, a další návštěva už znovu ne po téhle zkušenosti. Pivo: těžce na suchu, třeba 15 min. Ne že by servis nestíhal, při pondělku bylo hostů málo, ale asi proto debatní kroužek, jako tři tam kecaj 15 min, na hosty ignore a máme v p... servis dorazil milostivě až poté, co se host u vedlejšího stolu zvedl a šel vyprudit debatní kroužek (kroužek viz foto). Dát mi poslední objednávku ve 22.10, když je zavíračka ve 23, no taky asi nic moc. Ale tak debatní kroužek by asi jinak nestíhal. Jako tón oznámení na odchod 22.50 byl velmi nepříjemný, ale to už je detail. Nakladaný hermelín za 5 eur jako ok, ale teda když už to nosíte bez chleba, tak ať mi aspoň servis naznačí, že si ten košík pečiva za další 2e mám objednat. Doobjednat už ho pak lze těžko, jelikož servis vidíte tak po 15min, protože debatní kroužek. Celkově jídlo spíš průměr. Tak zase někdy za rok třeba, až povyhazujete servis, když je to tak nebaví.

Lovely pub and a very attractive, extensive menu with decent Czech and Slovak dishes. Roast duck and beef broth are great - our favourite. We always pop around when in Bratislava. They offer Pilsner and several Slovak beers, all of them are very tasty. The prices are reasonable, the staff members speak good English and the service is extraordinary. 5* The restaurant is located at River Park, choose it for a great dinner with a sunset view over the Danube.

Kolkovna je super možnosť ísť na pivo ale aj super jedlo. Ceny sú na kvalitné podniky v Bratislave štandardné, jedlo napr. Kačka (mimochodom zážitok a veľmi ťažké zjesť pre jedného) 15€. Výborne tankové pivo a príjemná obsluha. Určite odporúčam, miest tam majú veľmi veľa takže rezerváciu netreba. Benefit je možnosť parkovania v Eurovea zadarmo
