Mirror Bar — Restaurant in Bratislava

Visited several bars in top 50 in Europe, so I had some high expectations about this place. Unfortunately although the menu is nice and creative, the bar looks good and has some great interior design, service is just... Bad. Not even close of what it should be in a bar, not to mention a top 50 bar. Although i booked a table two weeks before my visit, got placed at a random table in a tiny rooms full of that unpleasant smell of heated tobacco devices, in the corner, from where you could see absolutely nothing (the bar, the main room etc) - literally between some walls, like a punishment or smth. Initially we were told this was a "waiting" table until a better table becomes available but after that another member of the staff came to take our order, signaling they had no intention to move us to a normal table. I expect that if I make a reservation, my table will be ready when I arrive or ASAP or be seated at the bar (which I usually really enjoy), not in a closet looking space. After mentioning these they managed to find a table in the bar. They seemed really understaffed, we had to ask for the menus, it took ages to bring the cocktails to our table, they do not check if you finished your drink, just take your glass from the table. Not sure they treat everybody like this or we were the "bad" ones that did not agree to enjoy the experience from the worst table in the bar. Honestly I had a way better experience in a not-so-famous venue. Cocktails were ok but could not enjoy them at maximum potential because service ruined the whole experience. Shamefully Disrespectful Staff — Don’t Waste Your Time Here

My recent visit to Mirrors Bar in Bratislava was nothing short of appalling. This establishment is a textbook example of how not to treat paying customers. The staff are not only inattentive, but openly rude, condescending, and discriminatory. From the moment we arrived, we were ignored — left standing at the entrance for over 10 minutes without so much as a nod of acknowledgment from anyone working there.

When I finally approached a waiter to explain that we had been waiting, his response was staggering in its arrogance. He looked at me and said, “Yeah I saw, but what do you want me to do? It’s a Friday, I can’t help you if you don’t have a reservation.” No apology, no courtesy, no attempt to assist — just sheer entitlement and disrespect. It was clear that customer service is not even an afterthought here.

To make matters worse, the staff blatantly tailor their behaviour based on appearances, favouring guests who fit their arbitrary idea of "worthwhile" and dismissing others without a second glance. This elitist and discriminatory attitude is disgraceful and completely out of place in any venue claiming to offer hospitality.

Mirrors Bar seems to operate under the delusion that guests should feel honoured just to be acknowledged by their staff. The reality is simple: no one should tolerate this level of disrespect and arrogance. There are far better venues in Bratislava where you will be welcomed and valued. I had a very mixed experience from the bar. We booked a table at Mirror Bar before Christmas, we arrived early and I still had a unfnished cigar so we sat at their dedicated cigar room. When the waitress came we explained the situation,

The first surprise came as instead of offering us something warm, aged or complementing the cigar she offered us a shot of borovicka or slivovitz local white spirits to ' warm up '

The interior of the place was very impressive with the gigantic tree in the middle and decorative seating and tables, however the deep low seat and the hard shoulder rests made it little less comfortable.

We ordered a few round of coctails, they all looked and tasted great.

Unfortunately upon closer observation I've noticed my negroni is full of table cloth fluff, probably from polishing glassess with an older overwashed cotton cloth. We didn't make any fuss out of it and finished our drinks. The service was very pleasant, informative and attentive and in general we had a good experience.

Next day I realized I've forgotten my bennie at the bar, I've left it for few days and wrote an email after new years, unfortunately I heard no response so I called in and the gentleman on the phone assured me he'll find out and get back to me, Its been a week and still no answer.
